Love the theatre, could live without the strict "rules" 7/16/2006

Both my wife and I love the Bengie's. The screen is really huge, food prices are not too exorbitant. On top of it all, you get three movies for the price of one. Can't beat that. But, what's up with all those rules and a Gestapo way of implementing them! Maybe they should treat their customers a little more gently. more

A classic Drive-in experience! 2/2/2006

If you're looking for a really unique date idea, Bengies Drive-In may be what you're looking for. It's one of the only operational drive-in theaters left in the US, and it's totally worth a visit. They have triple features for the bulk of the summer--take some friends, or that special someone, and head on out--but be warned, it's not going to be an early night. Movies don't start unitl night fall, and when you're watching 3 in a row, that means you don't get home until the wee hours of the morning. more

watch a movie outdoors 11/9/2005

This summer I went to the Bengies Drive-In for the first time and it was so much fun! I was surprised how empty it was, however it is such a fun experience! The screen is big and you're not very far away! This is a very fun and different date idea. We saw a double feature for the same price as a one movie in the regular theatres! The Bengies Drive-In is located on Eastern Blvd in Baltimore. more

Drive-In Movie Theatre 10/12/2005

Last summer I got inspired to search for drive-in theatres in the Baltimore area because I was curious to see if any still existed. I found two, however one has been closed indefinitely since the end of last summer(2004). This summer I went to the Bengies Drive-In for the first time and it was so much fun! It was rather empty (probably 15 cars), however it is such a fun experience! I drive an SUV which was perfect because I parked in reverse, opened the tail gate, and set up an old comforter in the back with the seat folded down. The food at the stands is cheap which is nice since you are not allowed to bring food in. The screen is big and you're not very far away! This is a very fun and different date idea. I enjoy the drive-ins more than regular movie theatres now because I have extreme comfort at the drive-in, cheaper food, and sometimes a double feature for the same price as a one movie in the regular theatres! The Bengies Drive-In is located on Eastern Blvd in Baltimore. Here is ther website...http://www.bengies.com/ more

drive-in fun 10/11/2005

Sit back, relax and watch a movie from the comfort of your own vehicle. There are only a few left drive-ins left and Bengies Drive-In miss one of the best. They offer new run movies yet have oldies nights too. The sound comes through your radio so you do not need that old style speaker as used in the past. Lots of fun!! more

The Only Drive-In Around 8/21/2005

This is the only drive-in theater left in the Baltimore area. Its a great way to see a movie. For $8 or $9 a person you get to see three movies, plus old-time cartoons and advertisements. You have to pay extra if you want to bring in outside food, but its still a bargain. We bring our dog, and some chinese take-out and spend a relaxing evening. They carry new release movies, sometimes on opening weekend. more
