Bend Animal Hospital

I began looking for a new vet when my 10 week old puppy had a runny eye on Saturday morning. I called Bend Animal Hospital around 12:30, and although they were closing at 1:00, they waited for us to come in and treated our pup like a princess, after a thorough exam they sent us home with treatment. A few days later they called and checked in on her. She recovered quickly. A few weeks later our 2 year old golden retriever stopped eating and became sluggish and began drooling excessively. We brought him into a 24hr emergency clinic, not Bend Animal Hospital (being that it was Sunday night), they charged us $300 just for looking at him and sending us home without a diagnosis. No xray, no blood work, they only offered to keep him over night to monitor him). First thing Monday morning we brought him, barely able to walk, barely breathing, with his entire face bulging and swollen, to Dr Brown at Bend Animal Hospital. They took him in immediately, put him on IV fluids and diagnosed him with an internal abscess in his throat. The next afternoon we picked him up, tail wagging, happy and energetic. He is a shy dog and a little weary of strangers, but when Dr Brown came out to give us follow up instructions, he walked over to wagging his tail and leaned up against her leg, as if to tell us that that she took great care of him and thank her for saving his life. I truly believe that she did save his life. Their prices also turned out to be VERY reasonable. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else!!!! more

Bend Animal Hospital and their staff have ALWAYS been patient, thorough and genuinely caring of our animals. Kelly is THE ONLY person who can hold our puggle Scooby for nail trims! What a feat! Dr. Pappa and his staff have always been fabulous and friendly. Very knowledgeable and gentle. Dr. Pappa never pushes elective services on us and always explains what he is doing and give us all the options. They always answer my questions completely and we never feel rushed. My dog appreciates their sweet and slow bedside manner. I highly recommend Bend Animal Hospital. more

This is a very nice clinic that is clean and well staffed. They have 24 hour emergency vet care. The clinic has easy access from the road and plenty of parking.The veterinary staff seems knowledgeable and very attentive to the animals in their care.Most of the office staff is pleasant, however there is one individual who is somewhat rude. It wasn't just a bad day, because it has happened on more than one occasion. more

i brought my cat here one day when he was sick and they were very nice. they perscribed him what he needed, and their prices were not too horrible. good experience. more
