Bellanotte

My girlfriends and I went here after work and were delighted by how friendly the staff was(not always the case in a upscale restraunt!) The food was prepared to our requests,and very fresh. Atmosphere was beautiful,and just what we needed after a long day! more

Bellanotte is an excellent Italian Cuisine restaurant in Block E of downtown Minneapolis. This restaurant is high end Italian cuisine. Make sure to make a reservation, as the place is very popular and fills up fast. The food is wonderful! If you love pasta you will not get tired of the numerous selections of pastas with meats, oils, and veggies. They also offer chicken and seafood selections. The seafood looked amazing. For my birthday, they gave me a free creme brulee, which was simply to die for. The large metal cage style fire place made for a warm amvience. Later at night, they offer live music and a bustling bar scene, full of the trendy beautiful people. If you are not so much into that scene, just arrive early enough and you will have a wonderful, quiet dinner. more

I had heard about Bellanotte through friends when I first moved to Minneapolis, as the hottest spot in town. I went in for cocktails to check it out and loved it. The ambiance was warm and chic, the drinks were impressive, the clientèle was attractive and included local athletes, and the DJ was great. I went back to have dinner there and was equally impressed. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive and the service prompt. The squash ravioli was sweet with a hint of garlic, and the chocolate lava cake was heaven. Definitely a must if you are looking to impress someone. more

Beginning with the beautiful decor and attentive staff, Bellanotte really has all the makings of a "beautiful night" (which is the translation of it's name). This restaurant has beautiful honey onyx bars which serve to warm the whole room, along with two fireplaces. Everyone was friendly - from the doorman who welcomed us, to the host who sat us, and our server who told us all of the specials and recommended some wine to go along with it. Because it was our first time, they brought over a special treat from the chef. I ordered their house filet which had lump crab meat and a sweet honey sauce which was out of this world. We even got a table visit from the manager who thanked us for coming in. We stayed and hung out for the late night scene when the bar filled up. There were lots of people out to have a good time. It was definitely a fun night all around! I highly recommend this restaurant for a special night out on the town. more
