Worth it for a day of pampering! 2/21/2012

This place is really an oasis on a busy street. They have a beautiful waiting area with fruit-infused water and a variety of yummy and healthy snacks. I got the manicure/pedicure and my friend had a massage and pedicure. The staff is very helpful and accommodating, and the service is phenomenal. You definitely feel very relaxed and at ease throughout your time here. Though it is certainly not something I could afford to do on a regular basis, it is worth a trip for the pampered experience. more

Fabulous Massage 8/16/2011

I've been going to Bella Sante for over 10 years. It has a relaxing atmosphere, attentive staff, wonderful waiting area and great service. Book an appointment for a massage from John -- he knows his stuff, listens and is an excellent masseuse. Big plus is the steam room! While there have been 1-2 slight misses (nothing's perfect), I keep coming back. more

Decent, not great 3/29/2011

I agree with mixed thoughts. I asked for a clean-up brow wax and it was ok, but not great. The stylist didn't bother to pluck and I had to do some more work when I got home. She also didn't ask me to look at it and see if I liked it when she was done. I think that should be a given. more

Mixed Thoughts 3/25/2011

Bella Sante was so highly rated that I thought I would give it a try. It was an incredibly relaxing place with terrific courtesy at the front desk. I thought I'd test it out with just a brow wax. I asked for a clean-up and was surprised when I left with a pencil thin contrived brow. I guess the hair will grow back but I left feeling quite surprised at the beautician's interpretation of a clean-up. As the day grew on and I kept trying to get used to this 'new look', I decided I probably won't go back again. But, it definitely is a relaxing place and it may be that I just had an unusual experience. more

A (marriage) Life Saver 2/25/2011

Thank you Bella Sante! After a few stressful months of Kids, snowstorms and a stressful sale and move. My wife was on the brink. After a few hours here being pampered, my wife came home de-stressed and extremely happy with her treatment. Guys - well worth the $ to treat the love of your life to a great, relaxing special treat. more

Facial Peel 1/28/2011

I personally do not like spas due to many bad experiences over the years but my experience with the staff at Bella Sante has changed my view. From the professional interest in providing input on which peel would be best for me and my sister through the actual peels we had done, I was very impressed. I would recommend this spa to anyone, even non-spa fans! more

One of my favorite places to relax 9/8/2010

I have tried many spas in Boston and some in other cities. By far the Bella Sante team delivers the best and most consistently great facial I have experienced. The concierge staff is friendly, helpful and well trained as they can answer questions about the products and treatments (unlike most spas where they just have a receptionist). The wonderful view from the waiting room is always a treat with seasonal flowers in their window boxes beautiful to look at. I have tried most of their services over the years and have enjoyed excellent treatments. Overall, I find it a relaxing and comfortable place with outstanding service, which makes it one of the best spas in Boston more

Best Massages in Boston 5/4/2010

I've been going to Bella Sante for massages since 2007. They got me through Spa Week and I've been loyal (well, mostly loyal..haha) since then. And this was before they did some renovations, so you know it was love! It's not the kind of spa I would lounge in all day (they've got a relatively small sitting area and locker room), but it's definitely a perfect place to pop in for a massage or one of their other services. Last masseuse I had was Darryl. Amazinggggg! He will take such good care of you. I went to him after I did my 60 mile walk and I floated out of there when he was finished. Great pressure and the perfect amount of time for a massage. I'm not one to say something is the "best" in Boston, but I've been to at least 5+ places around town for a massage and I can safely say my vote goes to Bella Sante. They're on Newbury Street and just minutes from the Arlington T stop. Pros: Massage, Friendly Staff, Location Cons: Not the cheapest massage in town, but definitely worth it more

please read this before you make an appointment 1/25/2010

I understand a 24 hour cancellation policy, i really do. If someone is negligent and doesn't show up without notice, that's completely disrespectful. I'm a nurse, and last night I came home feeling run down, flat out awful. This morning, I went to my doctor who diagnosed me with strep throat. Today was also my birthday, i made an appointment for spa treatments, but obviously wasn't in the condition to make it. I called Bella Sante to apologetically reschedule, and not only did they accuse me of lying about my condition, they also charged me for the appointment. LIke I said, I understand they're running a business and rely on customers keeping their appointments, but being called a liar was completely uncalled for. They can eat it. Happy Birthday. Bella Sante Newbury is Bella indeed 12/7/2009

I have been going to Bella Sante once a month for almost four years. It is my favorite day of the month! I start with a massage by Darryl who will find any muscle even thinking of being in a knot. He always leaves me feeling relaxed and loose. Andrea S. takes over with a facial to keep me looking and feeling great. She does whatever is needed to keep my aging skin soft and supple. She has great advice about products and how to use them to keep my skin looking great. Danuta is in charge of my feet. We spend an hour talking about cooking and gardening while she gives the most beautiful and long lasting pedi in town. Bella Sante is a lovely facility and the friendly, courteous and helpful staff always make me feel at home. It is like spending the afternoon relaxing with friends. There are amazing options for refreshments at their juice bar, they have the nicest staff and awesome customer service and they really know how to make you feel relaxed and at ease. I have been going to Bella Sante for about 6 - 7 yrs. Anne is the best and fun to talk to and makes that waxing time less painful. The environment of the spa is relaxing, the employees and front desk staff are fun and professional. I have had YET to have a bad experience with anyone there. Alex Quiros.... That is the girl you need to see. If you want the eyebrows that everyone wants, then she is your girl. She is methodical, and takes her time. I am always amazed when it's over, and I look in the mirror. It's like a mini face lift!! Not only that, but the facials are amazing as well. The best part of the facial is the massage of my neck and shoulders. Such a pretty place, and I always feel like someone special. I don't have a lot of money, but this is the place I will splurge a bit, and it's always so worth it. I've been to other spa's in Boston, nothing compares. alex at bella sante on newbury st. has been doing my facials for a couple of years now and i won't see anyone else. alex is extremely knowledgeable and takes a genuine interest in your skin's health, all the while making the experience relaxing. my skin has had it's up and downs and alex has always helped me through and has made great product recommendations. she does not simply recommend the most expensive products and will help build a skincare regimen to fit any budget. i go to alex both for my skin's well-being as well as to relax so it's truly a worthwhile experience worth every penny! Absolutely Amazing 8/7/2009

I've made it a tradition to treat myself to a visit to Bella Sante every year on my birthday. Unfortunately, this year, I got a sweet boot on my car the morning of my appointment. Thanks, Somerville. When I called to let the spa know I would be late because I had to find alternate transportation, they were extremely accommodating. Everyone expressed sympathy when I got there and on my way out, not only did I get my usual birthday goodie bag, but someone had run out during my massage and facial and got me a birthday balloon! The staff completely turned my day around and of course, the massage and facial were amazing. I love this place! Pros: you soul will be renewed after you leave this place Cons: none more

I visted Bella Sante for a Spa Facial this past weekend. The facial was fantastic My skin was glowing and still looks and feels great. I had specifically requested Jackie P. based upon a review that she received on City Search and I am so glad that I did. She was very knowledgeable and professional.
