DO NOT RENT HERE. AWFUL MANAGEMENT. Please Do Not rent 2604 N Murray Ave Apartments.\r Recently i rented Bell property apt down the Murray and Belleview. This apt are awful and their services are ridiculous. There are lots of bugs and spiders on the ceiling every day. It's impossible to get ahold of managers. Bell pretty much sucks 5/20/2011

When we first moved into the apartments on Frederick/Webster I had few complaints because the price seemed good - they were charging us $690 for a one-bedroom on the first floor. BUT we have had a LOT of problems living here for less than a year and all of them are things that weren?t noticeable in a tour. Also, the rent is going up to $750 for just a one bedroom. Firstly, I?m reiterating the awful construction stories. I know WAY too much about my upstairs' neighbors' lives, and I don't even just mean the people directly above us - I mean the people on either side of THEM. I can literally hear people peeing from all directions. I can also hear my neighbors having sex, having horrible fights, and even just having a normal-volume conversation. I hear them when they talk on the phone, when they open cupboards and the front door, and the best is when they work out to music or drop something on the floor, it's like the whole ceiling is going to just drop in. I literally recognized my neighbor when we were both entering the building the other day JUST because of her voice. You can hear people closing doors and walking around all over in the building even though we aren't even near the doors. THERE IS A SPIDER INFESTATION. We have new spiders on the ceiling EVERY day, sometimes 2-3 spiders in one day. This is not a spring/fall problem with the bugs moving inside - these spiders have been in our apartment ALL WINTER and they even got into our bed and bit me. I suspect the spider issue is because of the giant cracks underneath the windowsills and around the air conditioner and the fact that the windows don't actually shut all the way, the screens are bent so they don't fit correctly. We stuffed a whole sheet in there during winter to keep the cold air from coming in. Oh, the heat doesn?t work either. The toilet is broken. The flap that covers the pipe in the bottom of the reservoir, where water drains from the tank into the bowl, is misaligned; it comes unstuck and starts flapping, letting water drain endlessly through the toilet's system. Not only is this wasteful, it's annoying as hell noise-wise. The front door is almost always unlocked. The only time it was consistently locked was when the lock BROKE and NOBODY told us, so the keys they gave us suddenly stopped working and we had to go all the way around the building and in through the back. I called the manager about this probably twice before another tenant told me that I had to call the manager and ask for a new key myself ? they didn?t change the locks or get new keys for everybody, WE had to ask. I mean, he got us the eventually, but had I not encountered the other tenant with that bit of info and specifically asked for a new key I don't think this problem would have been 'solved;? now we just have four different keys to get around inside one building. The managers take forever to get ahold of maintenance. Once our shower drain froze up because the heaters in the garage stopped working (ALL of them just stopped, and somehow nobody in charge noticed it). Our tub had dirty water in it and was unusable for three days, the maintenance guy couldn't fix it more quickly because ~it was a weekend~. Others: Parking, the dirty fan in the kitchen, the fire alarm goes off EVERY time we use the stove/oven, insane number of people who smoke in their apartments even though it's a non-smoking building, the fact that people mess with the elevator (opening the hatch and putting fake trees on top of it), etc. etc. etc. more

AWFULL!! POOR CONSTRUCTION 3/6/2011

Ridge Manor Apartments at 10615 W Ridge Rd, Hales Corners, WI. DO NOT RENT HERE. AWFUL MANAGEMENT. I have been renting a lower unit since Nov. 2010. I looked at the apartment because it included heat and I was looking to save$$ in that area, and I needed an apartment with no stairs. The apartment itself is newly updated, BUT I was completely lied to by the apartment manager when I looked at the apartment and asked just how quiet the building is and how insulated the apartment is since I had never lived in a muli-unit building before(only town houses). She assured me it was very well insulated. NOT AT ALL!! The floor in the unit above me where two men live creeks terribly, I have to turn my volume of TV and stereo up as loud as I can to drowned out the noise. It's awful.I have to wear ear plugs to bed so I can fall asleep. I can hear the guys urinating in there toilet if I am in or near my bathroom. The water pipes are extremely loud when they run water. When other tenants go in and out the secure locked doors( entry and basement) I can hear them slam (unfortunately I thought being close to the door would be convenient) but you hear every door slam, stomping off there shoes, as if there in my kitchen. This is by far the worst place I have ever lived. I have never been so uncomfortable in my home in my life. I won't even have company over because it is embarrassing. Within the first 2 weeks I was here I complained to the on site manager and her response was I KNOW. I was very upset that I was lied to. She didn't care. I have been going back and forth with her verbally and in writing, even had her come in and listen for herself. She responded in shock herself and said she would see what she could do to try to get the noisy floor fixed and she keeps leading me along saying she is trying to get it fixed. It is now 4 months later and all I have heard is I am working on it. I contacted Bell Property Management in writing regarding the problems, stated I want to move. And all I got in response was a letter threatening a law suit. When I called the office all I got was a run around. I was told that they don't take calls. I agree with the previous review that all Bell Management cares about is getting there money. They don't care about there tenants at all. more

Avoid at all costs!!! 8/24/2009

The building at 2585 Cramer is unbelieveably filthy, unsafe (front door rarely locked) and Bell is the most unresponsive management firm you will ever find. All they want is your check and nothing else. The building is so poorly maintained, it's a wonder that they have any tenants at all. There are so many other places to choose from that are hundreds of times better for the same money!! Cons: too many to count more

AVOID Birchtree Court Apartments. 2585 North Cramer Street, Milwaukee 6/5/2007

Do not rent at 2585 Cramer Street, Birchtree Court Apartments, they have some of the laziest managers ever! not even kidding. first off when we moved in everything is supposed to be clean and ready to go but it was not. Behind the stove was disgusting, along w/ the stove and the exhaust fan(s)(caked on grease and who knows what else), the ceilings are buckling, the windows don't lock, there is an opening in the door where you can see right into the apt., in the bathroom, my god, theres mold growing on the tile(there when we moved in), some icky yellow stuff on the walls, you can see the toilet from the above apt., the air conditioner isnt working, the power frequently goes out, the internet is horrible! And worst of all when things go wrong we are told someone will come in but they do not, the garage door is always broken, you'd think at 60.00/ per car a month they would be able to keep it working. In my opinion if you like to have a nice place for the price do not move here, the rent is 645.00 and going up, ridiculous for the size and the service. The managers are some kind of bums they lay around all day like fricken hermits. When i rented this place I was new at renting and let me tell you i learned a thing or two about what to watch out for. BE VERY CAUTIOUS WHEN LOOKING AT THESE PROPERTIES!! Cons: parking, apartments themselves, managers, etc. more
