Beem'r Building & Design

I hired Thomas Barron aka Beem'r Building & Design to remodel my 800 sq.ft. condo. My experience is almost exactly like the other post on this site. To date I have given Thomas over $38K for work that has not been completed. Though I have tried to work with him over and over again, he continues to not respond to my many requests for an updated plan because we are going on 4 months behind schedule. He has "ghosted" me at least 4 times since the project has started where he will go more than a week or two or three without responding to texts and calls. At one point I had to call his "business partner", who actually turned out to only be a sub, to get him to respond to me - and still it took a week for him to respond. I am continually updating it until it is done. As of now there is nothing that has been fully completed. The tiling is so poorly done in all three rooms that it will have to be redone. I do not have one light switch in the whole unit though electrical took place in March. I have exposed electrical conduit coming from the ceiling in at least 4 rooms, as well as exposed plugs. The painting, though only white, has not been completed. There are no baseboards, no cabinet doors and there are paint drops on the wood and tile floors throughout the unit....THIS IS AFTER 4 MONTHS ON THE JOB. And to make matters worse, he has not responded to my many texts and phone calls over the past week to get an update and a revised plan. I have had to hire a lawyer to help with this. more

Homeowner Beware! Do not hire Thomas Barron! I hired Thomas to be the builder of my house rebuild after a fire destroyed the home. He may talk a good game, however, he is full of promises with no results to show. He will win your project and use your money to pay for another project he is working on. I have filed suit against Thomas for $18,000 of money he owes back for work that was not completed. He was hired on 10/15/15 and agreed upon a completion date of 1/7/16 (signed contract). On 1/1/16, I had to fire Thomas from the project because he had only completed the framing of the house and the project was only at 25% complete. If I could leave it where Thomas received zero stars, I would. Stay away! more
