So I've grown up in the neighborhood, and for the first time in 32 years, I stopped in at this establishment as a direct result of reviews I've seen online. All I can say is that all reviews here are all spot on! Went in with the mindset of throwing something on the grill for dinner and figured they'd have it. Aside from the free jerky sample upon my asking about where the jerky was in the store (they had to get it from the back) I had fresh ground chuck burgers made and seasoned to order, as well as adding a bag of jerky after I got a taste. 2lbs of chuck burgers (4 '8'oz patties seasoned,) 1 half pound bag of jerky- $18. Best damn jerky I've had in ages. Burgers are on the grill now (I'm Excited!!)- but upon casual conversation with the clerks- I was also provided a coupon for a free bacon wrapped beef tenderloin upon my next visit. So I got 2lbs of fresh ground chuck made into patties and seasoned, half pound of jerky and a half pound bacon wrapped tenderloin for a couple bucks more than 2 extra value meals at McDonalds. THIS PLACE ROCKS!!! I can't recommend it enough. Screw Dierbergs, sorry Bob. (I used to work in the dierbergs meat dept and they do have great quality meat) Way to go Baumanns- you've lived up to previous reviews and just gotten yourself another life-long customer. If you haven't been to this place- GO NOW or at least the next time you are grocery shopping. I can't recommend it enough.
