Huge disappointment 11/30/2009

We had eaten here several years ago and found the pasta dishes interesting. Upon our return in May, we were totally disgusted. First of all, the waiters kept trying to take our dishes away from us before we had finished eating. I then understood why the woman at the table next to us had yelled 'I'm not finished"" while we were making our menu selections. And the restaurant was virtually empty, so they weren't even trying to make room for the next seating. The menu offerings were very standard fare. Now I understand that this isn't Manhattan, but please folks a little creativity. The shrimp dish I had ordered was way overcooked and my husband's was tasteless. For a fine Italian meal when in the burbs head over to Cafe Arugala in South Orange: great menu, tantilizing specials, mouth watering meals (best calamari this side of the Hudson) and really great service. They never disappoint! And they know the meaning of al dente! Cons: Bland food; dull menu; poor service more

Not worth it, just go to the city. 5/15/2006

I had a reservation for 8 for mothers day. We showed up on time (early even) and were told by the snivelling man at the front of the house that there was no table for us. He then wandered off to not have to deal with us and the owner came up and told us that the party before us had come 30mins. late and they decided to seat them anyway. In any resturant that considers itself ""high end"" they should know this is unexceptable. The food is mediocre at best but in the suburbs they are able to take advantage of the fact they are one of the few slightly above average games in town. Skip this ugly pretentious rat-hole and head for the city. You'll pay half as much and get nicer service. Cons: bad service, unfriendly staff, bland food more
