My husband and I finally visited the new Barnes & Noble in the Genesee Valley Mall last week.
We used to be regulars at Borders. We would pick out a few books or magazines, buy a coffee, and sit at the cafe to read. What made us stop going there was the annoying entertainment (picture one man band, or people reading poetry - makes it hard to concentrate on what youre reading). The cafe was also too small for the amount of people.
Anyway, I was very skeptical about B&N, but was pleasantly suprised. It was everything that I wanted Borders to be. Of course, there is an AWESOME selection of books, music and movies..... that's beside the point! The cafe was very large (plenty of seating) and there was no entertainment!
I am happy that we have B & N now. It offers cheap entertainment, and allows my husband and me to spend some time together doing what we both enjoy!
