my favovite place 12/11/2005

We have been coming to Bangkok16 for 16 years. My daughter is now 15 years. The food is excellent and inexpensive. Try Kari-pop, Kai-tom-ka, Gai-ga-pow and Ta-lay-Thai. there are a lot of vegetarian dishes to choose, one is red curry with pumkin. I highly recommend to all of you. Also great service. Pros: nice deco, good for party, inexpensive more

Skimpy plates 11/3/2005

My girlfriend and I ordered 2 appetizers and a soup, as we often do in Thai, Chinese or Vietnamese restaurants: Imperial rolls (#3), Spinach DIY rolls (#9) and Seafood combination soup (#18). The appetizers were so skimpy we thought that one was the accompaniements for the other! The soup too wasn't that big and just ok for the taste. The service was very kind but it doesn't compensate for the lack of love and generosity in the kitchen. I'm surprised to see the other raving reviews: maybe it's different for the entrees? more

LOVE LOVE BANGKOK16 7/9/2005

I have been coming here for many times. The food is consistently good, fresh, great presentation and friendly owner. Try coconut chicken soup, fish cake, duck curry and pad thai. Thai pancake makes a wonderful desert. I bring all of my friends here. Highly recommended ! Pros: good food, nice and fresh Cons: parking not bad, hard on weekend more

Just ok 5/16/2005

Decided to give it a try....but I just wasn't impressed. It was ok but not worth the drive. more

Hard to find parking!! 4/28/2005

My date and I tried to find a parking space for almost 1 hour. We had to park on Market St. and walked 5-6 blocks to this place. Even though we're starving, the curry was kinda disapointing, should be more spicy, not just coconut milky flavor. Pros: Great deco, OK service Cons: OK food, hard to find parking more

WONDERFUL PLACE 3/19/2005

Nice, clean and good food. I have been to BANGKOK16 so many times. Coconut soup is always delicious. Fish with tamarind sauce is excellent and the combination (chicken, pork and prawns) with eggplant is very very good. Also sticky rice with mango. I recommend you come and try for yourself. Pros: inexpensive more
