Avoid this restaurant 12/9/2009

Restaurant has very stale and recycled food as it almost never has any patrons. The decor is poor witth poor hygiene and cleanliness. The service is rude and unresponsive.\r \r There are a lot better things one could do with their money than go to this restaurant. Cons: Rude service; stale food more

Don't bother for supper 8/22/2008

My wife and I went here for supper. The decor was horrible with the seats patched up with great swathes of duct tape. The menu had a reasonable selection; however, the staff was not very helpful at all in making a choice. We selected two of the ""specials"" plus Naan. I particularly asked for a very hot curry. What we got was nearly flavorless and when we complained to the waiter (who could not identify which dish was which) we were told ""something must be wrong with your taste buds"". When we complained to what I assume was the manager, his solution was to bring a little jar of spice to the table and let us season it ourselves -- which did make it edible, but was hardly ideal. Add to this Naan that was crispy and cool instead of soft and warm, extremely slow service (when we could get someone's attention), fairly high prices, and the generally poor state of the facilities and this was a very disappointing dining experience. Oh, and I didn't mention that they were out of the first two beers I picked from the drink menu. I seem to remember trying the Bangalore a couple years ago and being favorably impressed. Maybe management has changed. Or maybe they've just stopped trying. Pros: Selection Cons: Quality, Ambiance, Service more

Best Indian food on eastside, great customer service, a bit overpriced as regards to the portion size 2/6/2008

Me and my husband wanted to celebrate our move-in to the new home in Issaquah highlands.Tired with the move we were hungry for spicy Indian fare.We first thought of Pabla but as it was all vegetarian we decided to look for a place with both veg n non veg options. We chanced upon Bangalore and boy were we happy! It was 9 pm and they close by 10 I think.Still the service was exceptionally good. And food- it was just out of this world, the best we had of Indian food in Seattle (its been just 8 mnths here). We ordered the spicy chicken wings n were bowled over by the perfectly grilled chicken served with this amazing spicy gravy. The spice though can be adjusted as per your needs but we wanted it HOT!! Then we had a lamb and a chicken dish which again needless to say were supebly done. The meat was succulent and the gravy thick and creamy. We ordered this with naan which was quite big than the average size you get elsewhere. Though I must say it's a bit pricey in terms of the portion size but since we were in a celebration mood we didnt mind paying a bit extra. For everyday dining it is a bit overpriced so I would recommend keep it for special occasions. As for the service we were lucky to have been served by this man who was extremely friendly ,polite and not pushy for ordering. He gave us enough time to think over our orders and enjoy the dinner at leisure. We were very impressed and would DEFINITLEY come back again.I really hope we have the same or better experience as last time.Keep up the good work. Pros: food ,service Cons: bit overpriced more

Very Toddler Unfriendly 6/14/2007

The food was good albeit a little expensive for a lunch buffet ...but the service was horrible. I went to the restaurant with a friend and our 2 one-year olds. It was clear from the frosty reception and the location of our inapproriately small table that we were not welcome. For the lunch buffet, our plates were not removed, no water refills and the service was unfriendly. Granted, the kids made a mess, but that is what kids do! We were charged kid meal buffet prices for the toddlers !!(must have been all the rice they ate!!) and the waiter grumpily cleared the table after making an angry remark about the mess. I do not plan on returning there ever as I was immensely dissapointed and as for those with kids...beware..you might want to go somewhere were you actually feel welcome! more
