Awesome people and excellent service. 9/24/2011

i used to go to a very upscale vet for years with all my pets.. A year ago we got a puppy that seem to have alot of stomach problems and vet bills weekly started to add up and all the while no resolution.. I walked into pet smart feeling lost about how to care for this puppy.. Amber the office manager came over to me while I was crying and starring at puppy food.. And asked what was the matter... \r \r I proceeded to tell her out problem with our current vet..she offered me a vet visit there and offered some terrific advice.. I decided to give ban field a try.. That afternoon, I had a new vet a ppt for my puppy.. From the moment I walked in with our Reagan banfield took over... Got our dog on special food, sorted out the parasite problem and Reagan was immediately on a better path.. We've been blessed to have them in our life... From a new dog owner to helping calm us down and fix the problem. We cannot say enough great things about banfield vet.. And I was skeptical being inside a pet s more

Fine for regular shots, but not much else 8/10/2007

We took a litter of kittens to them to be helped. They were from a pregnant stray we had picked up a couple of weeks earlier. Though they did not charge us for the visits, they did not help us either. Two of the kittens had died 3 days after birth.. We took the remaining 3 to Banfield to save them. We were told "Well, this happens with litters from strays, don't be upset if they all die". All they did was tell us to keep them warm and help bottle feed them. The kittens continued to die, we took them back.. they still would not help. They gave up on them just because they came from a stray. We took our remaining last kitten to metroplitan hospital in copley and they saved his life! It wasn't cheap, but I don't care about money when it comes to saving lives. \r \r I think they should only be used for minor things like shots, ear infections, etc.. I would not take them for more serious things, they do not seem to have extensive training for real problems. more

My first choice 11/13/2006

I have taken my pets to Banfield since I discovered it through a referral. I have never had a moments trouble with any of the staff and this year alone, I have had to have my dog, Abby, operated on twice for cancer. I was given options for treatment according to my ability to or wish to pay. All meds and procedures were explained in great detail so I could make the best decision for my pet and family. The doctors have treated her with the utmost respect and care. I also find it comforting to receive a followup call the very next morning to see how the pet is doing and ask if there are any questions or concerns. None of my pets have ever suffered any ill effect from a visit to Banfield; whether it be for preventative care or more invasive treatment. Last year one of my dogs was found to have a heart condition and the staff referred her to a specialist. I received no runaround...and she received immediate care. Also, I actually appreciate the prices at Banfield as my previous vet was qui more

An excellant hospital 9/27/2006

My little dog Jack has had 3 surgeries this year. 2 of which Banfield vets performed due to the irreversible damage caused by Precious Lives. Jack has been doing so well after this 3rd surgery. I am very pleased with the service I recieved. The vets, and staff are very compassionate, and know my little guy by name. I will say if you don't have thier insurance, thier prices are a bit high, but what price do you put on the life of your animal? I'm totally satisfied, especially after the horrid experience I had with Precious Lives Animal Hospital. PROS: Warm, and compassionate vets, and staff. CONS: Prices a bit high without thier insurance coverage. more

It's Okay....But... 9/13/2005

In my experience, Banfield offers decent basic healthcare for your pets. However, when it comes to unique needs of pets (such as allergies, as in my pet's case), they blanch. I took my cat to Banfield to be vaccinated and have regular check-ups several times before her allergy situation arose. Bills were normal for the area for vaccinations, etc. When my cat's allergy situation arose, I was presented with a vet who had zero bedside manner. When asked their opinion, they offered to do many expensive tests and gave no other options. I love my pet, but am not willing to spend thousands a month on her - I explained this to the vet, but was not given any other option. At that point, I sought a second opinion and found a suitable, less expensive option for my pet's allergies. I was/am discouraged that Banfield did not offer these options and that the vet would not discuss the issue in full with me. Instead, I feel I was treated condescendingly and, as I stated before, no bedside man more
