Editorial review from Citysearch 6/25/2013

I bought my puppy from a pet store and the pet store told me to take the puppy to a vet for a checkup within 4 days to make sure the puppy was completely healthy. Now my puppy had up to date shots for parvo and distemper. I brought my puppy here and they told me my dog had parvo. I showed them the shot record and said there's no way, shes up to date on shots. shes had 2 da2ppvs (which treats distemper, adenovirus, parafluenza, and PARVO) AND 2 neopar shots, which is specifically to prevent PARVO. The pet store was very thourogh to make sure the puppy was covered. Banfield said, well they lied about the shots, pet stores buy puppy mill dogs and then lie about the shots so you think you have a healthy puppy. I was totally appalled at the way they talked to me. I took my puppy to another vet who told me my dog had a slight congestion problem, but it is very small, shes only had it for maybe a couple days. Banfield has no experienced vet techs, not one single employee cares for the animals. They are all there for money and so they can get paid to do NOTHING. This company needs to be SHUT DOWN. more

BY ALL MEANS 11/21/2011

by all means take your pet here, purchase the full pet insurance and then sit by and watch your pet suffer as they try to extract every penny you have while you wonder if your animal is dying or not. true story, yeah!. by the way I only had 200 instead of 600 so heres your dog, slam the door in your face! good luck with that. so much for sense of security about well cared for dog thats "" covered w/ insurance "" took me a couple days got some more cash off to a good vet chow! these people really care !!! about money that is. thats the second and last time they were almost the death of my dog. more

I DONT CARE FOR YOUR PET'S NEED 11/13/2009

Banfield the I DONT CARE FOR YOUR PET'S NEED ! SO, here's my predicament. My poor Pomeranian has been coughing for approximately 2 1/2 months now . every 2 - 3 weeks I would go in for check ups and EVERYTIME they would prescribed me these awful pills for $40 each time. I am O.C.D. about being on schedule and giving my ...pom. everything he needs, after all he is a living thing. I admit they did help lower the amount of time he coughed but its ridiculous having to go in each time for just some nasty $40 pills that doesn't completely cure the dog. I thought that Veterinarians are experts in finding out the pet's need but each time I go in they keep pounding me into purchasing all these pills and shots that I don't think were necessary. Then the 3rd time I go in with the same problem, my dog's cough, they said ""well last time we only gave him a small amount of the pill why don't we give him more"" NO BITCH THEM PILLS AIN'T WORKING AND I WANT SOMETHING TO ACTUALLY CURE HIM COMPLETELY NOT NO DAMN $40 PILLS. Sorry, I understand that it's a progressing matter and takes time to actually overcome but 2 1/2 months for a cough ? come on ! I want x-rays and shots something not just $40 pills ! Pros: convient location Cons: overprice, worst vets more

People were nice 10/25/2009

Exam was unusually short, but they were ready for us when we went in. That is the only thing I found a little concerning. That they didn't check her over thoroughly. But we had no problems after that. Had insurance, so I do not know how they handle cash payers. Pros: Nice place, No waiting to long, nice people, shopping after Cons: Exam took two minutes more

Worst place to bring a Pet 12/13/2008

This place has got to be a joke. They are only intrested in getting money, not helping any pet. They told me my dog had parvo and would die. I took it back to where I got it, they gave me some medicen for my dog, and within a week it was perfect! I think they lie to you about how sick your pet is because they want to make money on treaing the animal, and could care less about the animal, if that is not the case, then they just need to go back to vet school and learn about puppies! Cons: everything more
