Great Week Night Spot 3/9/2007

Great experience at this place, went on a Tuesday, but had a ton of fun. Our waitress was great, along with the bartender. The lady at the neighboring table was as loud as ever and could not stop talking about herself but the staff was great in recognizing her abruptness and did everything they could to make it a great experience. Also great food and strong drinks, fun place to have dinner with your friends, great interior design with lighting that sets the mood, PERFECT for A DATE NIGHT!!! I can't comment on what the place is like when it gets crowded, such as on Friday or Saturday nights, becuase I don't go. But I like to eat lunch here. Nice atmosphere, good food, and very reasonably priced. Pros: Good food at very reasonable prices Cons: Too crowded at peak times more

Cute place for brunch 11/13/2006

I went here for Saturday Brunch. We had to wait about 20 minutes. I had the waffles with berries. Very good. My friends had the scones and they tasted very good too. The service is alright. I would def. go again perhaps at night. The bar looks really cool. Pros: decorations Cons: 20 minute wait more

Been there a couple of times. The food is excellent. The service is good overall but not always the case depending on the server you get. Nice atmosphere with modern décor. Recently was there on Friday night arriving at 1:30am. The late-night menu had tasty items to choose from. Definitely a good place to visit. Music was good. Pros: Food, Decor more

My Local place NEVER disapoints! 6/5/2006

Moved into this area 1 year ago & let's just say food and good drinks( other than tap beer) are yummy!!! A solid palce to go all around - food is fresh and consistent. If I go with friends, clients co-workers or boyfriend we alwats have a great time. Good for people watching, great atmosphere and awesome martini drinks... Very Rude Bartender Leaves Bad Taste in Our Mouth 3/5/2006

We went to Banc for after work drinks since we read good reviews of this place. It was a nice ambiance unfortunately that was overshadowed by the very rude Friday night female bartender who made us give up our bar stools for her friends. Mind you the place was not packed, and we were drinking/paying customers. This kind of behavior has disgusted us and we will never return. A number of patrons there agree with us. NOT for sports watching 1/9/2006

don't get fooled by the TVs like me and a friend did...this is NOT a good place to watch football on a weekend afternoon. way too quiet (i felt guarded in my cheering) and the menu lacks good bar food (no wings, pretty lackluster appetizer selection, etc.) more

Nice place, music was off 1/9/2006

Meet a date for a drink on Friday evening. The food was good and the bartenders were pleasant and attentive. The decor in the Banc is tasteful, however the music a bit tired once the DJ showed up. When I hear songs like ""Let's Get Loud"" and ""It's Getting Hot in Here"", I think of a wedding out on Long Island. This is not what I want to be reminded of when in Manhattan. A welcome addition! 5/8/2005

A saturday afternoon wandering around the city with my sister decided to stop into the Banc Cafe and we were so glad that we did. The food was delicious and our server was both pleasant and helpful. The decor in the Banc is tasteful, creating a great atmosphere both day and night. We didn't want to leave but have decided to return often with the many overseas visitors that we are expecting. Enjoyed the music, a great mixture to satisfy all tastes. Pros: Spacious, Great food more

I wish I lived closer 4/30/2005

I live on the upper east side, but met friends at Banc Cafe recently. I eat out 3 to 4 times a week & this is the first in quite a while that I have been impressed to the extent that I felt compelled to comment on it. Four of us had dinner. We shared two appetizer sampler plates between us, (excellent). I had a Salmon entree, it was really, really good. One of my friends had a chicken dish, she said that it was wonderful. Server was friendly & attentive although I had difficulty understanding her when she was explaining the specials, she spoke with an accent. The prices are also decent. I don't live nearby, but I will definitely go back there. Pros: Nice Crowd, Good Food , Friendly Service more
