This a review meant to actually state that I was extremely disappointed on the service of this restaurant. I have been there several times for business meetings and never had a problem. Today I had a meeting with high executives of Saks Fifth Avenue. We had lunch at the Bal Harbor Bistro. I personally ordered a Spinach Salad with Goat Cheese and drank only water with lemon. After 2 hours began to feel very sick. I was sick for more than an hour. My normal reaction was to call the restaurant, I wanted to talk to general manager in order to state this matter. When I talked to her I approached her in a very polite way. I was never actually hoping to get the money back, I was just looking for a apology and concern and I wanted to warn in case others would order the same thing. The general manager started screaming at me stating and practically telling me that i was lying, since she was 100% sure that it had to be something else I ate.I sat a listen to her for about 10 minutes, how this could not be, because from her restaurant you could eat from the floor and not get sick. She asked me (and I quote): So what do you want me to do!? in a extremely rude way. I told her I was expecting and apology and concern for the customer. In a very arrogant and sarcastic way she told me: Well I am sorry and very aggressively hanged up the phone. I am a very frustrated customer right now and I cannot believe that I have been treated this way. Not even if you go to a lower category restaurant would you expect such poor and demeaning customer service. I am definitely going to contact the Consumer Services Department, and of course i will tell all my friends and relatives about this matter. I hope that if you visit this restaurant never experience what I have experienced today.
