Baileywick Park is such a wonderful place for kids to play and really enjoy themselves! The playground is always clean and in great condition. There is ample parking, and close to the playground so you won't have to drag your little ones too far. There is even a little pavillion with picnic tables that you can eat at when you need a break from all the playing that will be happening! I come here often and am often asked to bring children here as a babysitter! more

Nice Park to pack a picnic lunch & take for morning outing 8/14/2005

This is one of the nicest parks in Raleigh. It is located past the YMCA on Baileywick road. There is plenty of parking and picnic area underneath a shelter. Children of all ages will enjoy the large sandbox, jungle gyms, swings, ride on toys etc. We like to go there with our playgroup to let the children play in the morning and then have lunch at the shelter. It can get pretty crowded on a beautiful day, but don't let that stop you from going. It also has bathrooms & water fountian near shelter area!! more
