Best

I'm not really a bed and breakfast kind of guy, but I liked this place. My parents came to visit me and my place is too small, so they stayed here so they could be in the neighbor...

Close to everything in Uptown 10/25/2006

The other reviewer mentioned cable TV, fireplaces, and private bathrooms for all of the rooms, and that's all true. But if you have a laptop, you'll also be interested to know that they have free high speed Internet access for guests. You can plug in with an ethernet cable, and they have wireless too. The McKinney Trolley has a stop that is not even a block away, so you can jump on that and go up and down McKinney Avenue for free. But you are also within walking distance of literally dozens and dozens of restaurants, bars and shops. Avanti is on the same street. Then there's an Uptown Starbucks that's close, Chipotle, Tin Star, Baker Brother's, East Wind and a ton of other places. Uptown is just about the only pedestrian friendly neighborhood in Dallas, so it's kind of cool to stay there and be able to walk around. I enjoyed my stay there. It wasn't an "old lady style" bed and breakfast with five million knick knacks that you are worried about breaking. It is classier and seems more professional than one of those kinds of places. more

Nice Bed and Breakfast 3/31/2006

Bailey's Uptown Inn is located in the State-Thomas district of Dallas within easy walking distance of uptown. The rooms are beautifully decorated each with their own gas-log fireplace that you can turn on with the flip of a switch and a private bathroom. There is cable TV also. I cannot comment on the breakfast since my husband and I left early in the morning for brunch with our families. It would be a great place for out-of-town guests to stay since it is within easy walking distance of so many attractions including Dart light rail stations which could take you throughout the city of Dallas as well as several suburbs. more
