When walking in the front door of Bacchus, we waited alittle while before anyone acknowledged us. It seemed as though the hostess was busy eating at a table near by. A young male came to the door and greeted us. Before he could even get menu for us. The hostess got up with food in her mouth and proceeded to push him out the way. After being seating the same young male brought us bread and water, told us the waiter would be with us shortly. When the waiter approached the table he smelt of cigarette smoke and didnt even give us a proper greeting. He took our wine order along with the appetizer order. The appetizer of scallops wrapped in bacon were delicious as well as the coconut prawns. When we were finished our plates were cleared. We waited about at least 15 minutes before we flagged down the young male to bring our waiter. We noticed it took him awhile to find the waiter. Yet again the waiter came up to our table smelling awful. He completed taking our order. The ceaser salad is one the best I've tasted in at any restaurant. Our steaks were cooked to perfection as well as the rest of the items that accompanied them. The plates were cleared by the young male who offered us dessert & coffee. We gave him the dessert order to avoid the stinky lazy waiter. He really didnt do much but take the order, smoke, pour the wine, smoke, didnt even bother to check on us, smoke, oh and drop the check. The other male did the work. The restaurant was dead, I think he was stressed. I'm sure turning the corkscrew on the bottle of wine was too much for him. On our way out the hostess waved goodbye, with of course a folk in her mouth. I would somewhat recommended this place for food and the wine selection. Thats about it. Bring your febreze maybe the waiter could use a few sprays. Dont forget to feed your hostess!
Pros: Ambience, Wine selection, Great steaks
Cons: Service
