tony subcontracted our move to another company- one he said he had close ties with, and highly recommended- well we were left in a lurch!!! furniture arrived 10 days late, damaged, cracked, scratched or all of the above- no-one had any answers for me during the 10 full days I called!!!! absolutely horrible experience!!! tony blamed the sub-contractor, they blamed tony- and my family was raked over the coals in the process!!! EPIC FAIL TONY!!! more

Don’t fall for Tony or the Dove on the front of his packet with the dove about faith ..Tony is a wolf in sheeps clothing ..For two beds one queen one regular and two dressers both singles he wanted to charge me 880.00 dollars .The move was form Jackson to Matawan . The move was delayed by about 8 hours off schedule which was ok, we dealt with it. My grandmother who is older dealt with them financially, was denied a receipt and said one would come in the mail. No receipt ever arrived. After reviewing the charges, her initial deposit was not factored into the bill,. After six calls and being assured the refund was coming in the mail nothing came. Standard taking advantage of the elderly. Legal action is currently being considered. Review may change if they ever answer the phone. more

Amos and Austin are definitely the "A" team at BD Movers.!! Leaving a home is always stressful situation, they were very professional, polite, friendly and extremely efficient ... kudos to Tony for having such great employees! I will definitely continue to recommend BD Movers! more

Their logo is FAITH CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS. .they represent the company as a ChristIans..I am a Christian,and would never treat ANY human being the way I havve been treated.This is my 2nd experience with them.I had moved last yr and they were kind and professional when they gave me my quote.I had gone with another company only because they were much more afforable..First impression is extremely important and they BD movers came in with flying colors..just not affordable. I AM MOVING AGAIN FOR MY 2ND TIME THIS YR AND REMEMBERED THE IMPRESSION THEY LEFT WITH ME AND ASKED THEM FOR A QUOTE since none of the other moving companies had my date opened.They were not only 30 percent higher in price compared to other companies they were extremely unprofessional. I had to call them back which of anyone knows anything about moving,it is a huge expense and very stressful.For the money they charge.I have to call you back?I would Definetly not recommended this company to anyone looking for an honest company to get the job done,there are many movers out there who will work with you in price. RESPONSE FROM BD Movers: I'm sorry you thought our price was too high, I usually find we are in the middle of other estimates. I'm glad you thought your last move was great, we work hard on that. Steer clear of BD Movers at all costs! We had Tony Baumer, owner come out for an estimate. Our planned move was from Manahawkin to Tavernier Florida. We liked what he had to say and contracted with him back in May for a July 5 move. Followed up at least twice in the interim and was assured that all was in order. On Friday July 1, prior to long weekend we called again to ensure that we were to be picked up early on July 5. Steven, dispatcher, told us it was etched in stone and they would be there first thing on Tuesday morning, July 5. Tuesday morning July 5 - no movers. Called at 10;30 and Steven told us he would check into it and call us back. No phone call. Called again around 11:30 and he said he was looking into it and would call us back. We asked to talk to Tony and was told he would call us. Still no call back so around noon we called for the third time. Steven told us that somehow it had slipped through the crack and that truck driver was on the road. Jason Murray - truck driver called followed by Henry Murray. They said they we never notified and they were looking into when they could move us. Henry said he would call latter that night. We never go a call back from Tony Baumer, owner. Never got a call back from Henry Murray either. Repeated emails get answered by Tony but not once did he accept accountability or responsibility for this horrendous mistake. He called it a glitch and couldn't understand why we were so upset because movers did not show up on our preferred day. We were all packed up and ready to roll on our retirement move. We had three different families depending on us to move and we had to push them all back! Just a glitch? I think not. Gross incompetence and lack of integrity appear to be the case here. While my initial ratings of this company were good, after my move was over and I had time to look things over, I found several pieces of furniture damaged by the movers because, although they shrink wrapped most items, as they unloaded the truck, in some instances they unwrapped the item before it entered my home and so damaged the unit as they entered. In other cases they did not take care when bringing things into my new home. When they brought a heavy wooden bar into my new home, they scraped it on the doorway and as a result, damaged one of the sides. They also lost a tool box with tools in it from their truck and when contacted I was told they couldn't find the tool box on their trucks; funny I saw it being loaded. The moving crew was not able to bring a large leather couch and leather chairs downstairs into the basement and so I had to hire someone else to do that thinking they were going to have to take the couch apart but when they arrived, they were able to bring the pieces downstairs "as is" without taking them apart, which cost me more money, which left me wondering why the BD moving crew didn't know how to move this furniture. Hmmmm... My complaints to the company came in the form of a friendly professional phone call to Mary, and then a followup email to both Mary and Tony. The reply from Tony was defensive in terms of the couch pointing a finger at me saying I said it was OK not to bring the couches downstairs. Well of course Tony, your manager dude said he couldn't do it! And for the toolbox I was told "we couldn't find it". Well I would like to know who on your team has my tools Tony? As for the furniture they damaged, I was told BD movers would arrange to have my furniture they damaged repaired; I was to receive an email from one of their managers. I did receive an initial email but BD movers never made good on their promise. My move was November 12th. It's December 27th as I write this, plenty of time for BD to make good. I'm done with them and would not recommend them to others. At first the price seems better and they are nice people but as the old saying goes you get what you pay for. more

The move from Long Beach Island to Jamison Pa was a chore, from furniture moving to the long ride. From the start, BD was great to deal with, beginning with Mary in the office. But I must say, Darian, Will and Anthony were beyond professional and courteous. They made the moving of my mother and father's belongings much easier than I could have imagined. They are fine young men and a credit to your company! more

Each and everyone that moved our belongings was pleasant hard working and well mannered. I would highly reccomend this company due to my ecperience with the crew that moved my furniture and boxes! more

On the morning of June 24th 2 trucks arrived, headed by Ray and his crew of 5. Ray did a fantastic job of managing his crew throughout the day, while doing this entire house move!!! Ray was also part of the packing crew, which turned out to be another good idea because they did a great job packing my china. There really was so much more to this move than I could have imagined. I definitely would use BD movers again!! more

If I move locally again, I will use BD Movers. I will also recommend them. The price was also very fair. I was worried about hidden charges, but there were none with BD Movers. more

I've been using BD Movers for years, and several members of my family have used them over the years too. They are very dependable and very honest, which is why I called them when I had a situation in my home. I had a broken pipe. In order to have the repairs done, all my belongings had to be removed from my first floor while the house was being rebuilt. My contractor referred me to them, even though I already was familiar with their service. BD Movers came and removed everything. They stored my things in their warehouse, which is climate controlled, very safe, very secure and insured. I'm very happy with them! They always try and fit you in, and they are very honest. When I had to deal with this situation, it was nice to know that my belongings were the one issue I didn't have to worry about. I knew that BD Movers would bring them back in perfect condition! more

My experience with BD Movers was great. The crew was very nice and they even put together a few wardrobe boxes for us in our closets. I liked that they didn't take all day and were quick yet thorough. They helped us move two towns over. The price was reasonable for the quality of service that we received. Jeremy, the foreman, was very professional and polite. This was our first time using them and we're very pleased. more
