For TRULY honest service with absolute professionalism, reliability and the personal attention of the AZ !! Before I buy anything I do the research and read reviews. So when my HVAC died, I began the hunt hoping to find a trustworthy repair company in the area. After reading all the positive reviews (here), I called AZ. I couldn't have made a better choice! Since I called late afternoon for the initial appointment, I was immediately surprised to be offered an appointment as soon as the following morning. A Tech and an assistant showed up ON TIME! Based on my experience with other companies in the past, this was totally unexpected. They briefly questioned me regarding the symptoms and began troubleshooting. Within 30 minutes they had not only found the failure in my unit, but also what had caused the failure. The Tech took the time to explain to me (in laymen's terms) the function of the failed components. He then showed me how the prior system was improperly installed and explained how this caused the failure. He thoroughly described my options, from the repair of the existing unit to the various alternatives for replacement. While I was weighing cost vs. comfort, went the extra mile. He asked me questions concerning my lifestyle (as it pertained to HVAC such as; temperatures my wife and I prefer and at what times, humidity levels etc???) and the he made a recommendation based on our lifestyle, size/configuration of home. I consider myself a good judge of character, and easily found AZ to be genuine and trustworthy. The more I spoke with them, the greater respect I gained for AZs innate integrity, Their professionalism and the sincere concern for our comfort and honesty. When considering the recommendation and looking at pamphlets of options, I asked them about a more expensive unit. They responded that in my case, the more expensive unit would not provide me any additional benefit! There aren't enough businesses out there with that kind of genuine honesty! With the decision made, AZ was able to offer a $1000 instant rebate from Lennox and communicating directly with a lender he secured me 0% financing! We scheduled the installation, and they detailed what to expect. On day one of installation, AZ and their professional crew showed up (ON TIME) immediately set to work placing protective covering over my floors. Throughout the day, I had conversations with each person on the crew and found all of them to genuinely concerned with their personal quality of work and my satisfaction. (Additionally, I found them to be friendly, responsible people). The entire two-day installation went exactly as they described, with one pleasing exception. Installation was completed 6 hours ahead of schedule! AZ and the team are the epitome of Customer Service! In my 25 years of home ownership of 4 different homes, I have NEVER felt so comfortable with my decision of who to perform the work. Nor have I ever been so pleased with the whole experience and the final result. If AZ Air Conditioning does it, I will never allow anyone else in my home to do it. Best regards more

My mom had her furnace replaced last Wednesday by AZ Air Conditioning & Heating and although I have no other furnace-replacing experiences to compare it to, I'd say things went great. I was not present when the salesman recommended the furnace to my mom, but she did discuss all the specifics with me and after doing some research online, the furnace she got looks to be sized correctly for her house and she got a good price. I was around for the installation (which took about 6 hours!) because my mom had to work. The installers were really nice and explained what they were going to do and didn't seem to be bothered by some of my dumb questions. The work area looked like a small bomb had exploded after removal of the old system, but after the install was done, the area was left nice and clean. My mom came home just before the installers were done and went over the operation of the new thermostat they installed. Her new furnace has been running great for the last few days and my mom has expressed her happiness that everything went so well. An installation inspector came out a couple days after the installation to follow up with my mom to make sure everything was working well and he went over the thermostat operation again with her (she doesn't get along with technology, lol). So overall, AZ Air Conditioning & Heating did a great job and I'm glad my mom can keep warm for the rest of this winter. more

My husband and I recently moved into the area and had problems with our furnace it was not working, I called the company on the furnace sticker around 10:00am, they said were short two sevice people but could be there around 6:30pm that night and it would be an extra $100, they never showed up. I called my neighbor she gave me AZ Air Conditioning & Heating's number. I called, spoke to customer service and they had a service man here by 8:00am. He got us running. Suggested getting a new furnace, this one was 19 yrs old with other issues. So the next day I called and they setup an appointment for a salesman to come out that day. I also had two other large companies come out the following day. AZ Air Conditioning & Heating had the best presentation and had many options the other companies did not speak about, tax breaks, Nor financing. I called AZ Air Conditioning & Heating and they had the unit in by the end of the next day. I still remember what AZ Air Conditioning & Heating said to me, please call if you have any issues, we will not allow any of our existing and new customers go without heat. It was a positive statement. I highly recommend them. more

So Happy to be warm again! AZ Air Conditioning & Heating is by far the very best heating and air conditioning company around! My 18 year old furnace finally gave up on me the other day, so I called my son who had just had his furnace and air conditioning system replaced by AZ Air Conditioning & Heating a few months ago. He told me to call AZ Air Conditioning & Heating because he thought they did such a great job for him. I was so pleased by the response time as well as the friendly professional service I received. I was sure the old furnace needed to be replaced. When the service person came up stairs and told me he was going to his truck for a part and should have me up and running in a few minutes, I was floored! He made the repair and told me about their preventive maintenance program that I quickly signed up for I could not be happier. I had already figured in my mind that I was going to have to get a new furnace and was so worried about how I was going to pay for it, I was almost sick. We need more companies like this around. AZ Air Conditioning & Heating is Courteous, friendly and efficient. My technician was very friendly helping me get our furnace installed. Best of all, they made me feel like a real person and not just another number. I was asked if I had any other concerns or issues that I would like looked into and then got right to work! I also really like their annual maintenance plan. I'm always contacted with a reminder call to schedule my summer and winter inspections which has been a big help to me and saved me money as my heating and cooling system is assured of always running at peak proficiency. I was totally impressed with the integrity, professionalism and product quality offered by AZ Air Conditioning & Heating. When their sales rep visited us the first time, he listened intently, asking pertinent questions along the way. We were looking to replace our whole system - furnace, air conditioner, and humidifier. When he made his proposal on his second visit, he actually suggested we wait a few more years before replacing everything. However, I wanted to go ahead anyway because our system was already 10 years old, and was having a few minor problems. He had recommended a highly efficient system, which was what I was looking for. Their proposal looked good, and the price was reasonable, so I had them replace everything. The installation team was very professional and friendly. However, after the installation was completed, I felt the Heater, which was maybe a little too efficient, made more noise than I was comfortable with. It was only an issue because our TV room is right next to the furnace room. The installation guys called the sales rep immediately, and he was there within 15 minutes. He agreed that the noise could be an issue, and was very accommodating. The next morning, the heater was replaced. No hassle whatsoever. The whole process was very smooth and totally customer oriented. I could tell that this is a company that is indeed very customer oriented, unlike a lot of other contractors I've worked with in the past. This is my sixth house, and I have replaced five heating and air conditioning systems in the past. AZ Air Conditioning & Heating provided the best experience I have had in this regard, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family, as well as anyone who is reading this review more

I was referred to AZ Air Conditioning & Heating by a friend and had a very positive experience. Making the appointment was a breeze (unlike some other companies), I even got a call to remind me the night before they we?re coming. On the day of the appointment AZ Air Conditioning & Heating showed up at my house, not only time, but actually a few minutes early and got right to work. The problem was quickly fixed and my heat was restored, but he let me know that since my unit was over 20 years old that it was only a matter of time before it needed to be replaced. And sure enough, four months later they were back to replace the entire furnace. I was extremely surprised when he gave me a discount for the part that he previously installed, which he didn?t have to do. I almost can?t wait until my air conditioning unit goes so I can have AZ Air Conditioning & Heating. It doesn't sound like a lot but the number of professionals who don't answer the phone or don't call you back is quite staggering and it can be very frustrating. I said to AZ Air Conditioning & Heating I wonder if you can help me with a problem with my furnace?. Yes that's what we do. AZ Air Conditioning & Heating came round within 2 hours of the call. They then worked methodically thru the problem and let me ask lots of questions because I'm a DIY type and I want to know what's going on. He made a few notes about some of the questionable work that had been done before - which I agreed with - and fixed things up properly as he went along. Something that I notice and really appreciate as someone who likes to do a job right. AZ Air Conditioning & Heating fitted a new Aquastat to the furnace (I have a very old hydronic system), gave the system a good flush out and lubed up the pump. I wanted to send you some comments regarding our recent Heating/Cooling system - feel free to use this information in your future sales activities. We found AZ Air Conditioning & Heating via their web site - the site was very easy to use - and I was able to define our project and get responses back quickly. Our heating/cooling project was driven by a couple of key factors - our old system was 12 years of age 5 Ton Carrier; we wanted to install a more efficient system- so it was key that we get a system that uses minimal electricity in the winter and the summer. We only had been in the house for 6 months so I did not have the historic usage for the summer months ? but I figured we were currently running 1800 KWH - so our new system had to reduce that usage - I did a lot of research - I found that two factors were key in selecting a ""partner"" to provide our new system. First - they had to do a proper load sizing for the home; and they had to have experience installing / servicing the products. Key on the sizing was that an oversized unit would actually be less efficient and could cause some rooms to be too cold or too hot. We had quotes / estimates from other companies from recommended vendors. All of these companies had the historic experience: they all did heating and cooling analysis - but the quality of these assessments were driven more by my questions than any proper sizing or measurements. All these companies recommended a 5 Ton system - even though most of their calculations came up at 4 ton - their logic was that with global warming average temp might be a lot higher soon. Only one of these companies actually gave me a hard copy - AZ Air Conditioning & Heating others provided me with two separate load calculations - both recommended a 4 Ton system based on the information we provided. The calculations were given to us and were easy to read and understand. We went with a Lennox unit - hybrid system. The Lennox Unit has a great warranty on the whole system - which was another key for us - we are going to be here a long time. So far it runs great, very quiet - I love getting my utility bills now as we can see the improvement and savings. When the time came to install the equipment - the AZ Air Conditioning & Heating crew showed up on time, ready to get to work. The new unit arrived at approx 8:30am - and they got to work right away. We had the condenser unit relocated, and the heat pump / furnace is a 95% efficient device- which required new venting. The team reworked the cooling lines for the new location. We are very happy with their performance. more

I am glad I chose AZ Air Conditioning & Heating as the contractor for our new Air and Heating system. The choice boiled down to who provided me with the best value. I was not looking for a Cadillac, rather a system that was much more efficient than the Carrier unit I have had for 10 years. The analysis provided to me by AZ Air Conditioning & Heating after their extensive evaluation of our home's design conditions and our heating and cooling requirements convinced me that this company has done its' homework and knowledge of our needs living in a humid environment. We liked Lennox and asked AZ Air Conditioning & Heating for that brand to be installed. He then recommended a Lennox Condenser and Furnace Package that qualifies for the Federal tax credit and the TEP rebate. This replaced the 5 ton Carrier I had which was much less efficient. We have thus far used the new AC approximately five months since it was installed. It reaches the temperature we have set so much faster and is not operating as long as our old unit plus the Condenser is much quieter. Our recent electric bill was almost $150.00 less than the previous month. The other two Contractors who gave us an estimate were not near as thorough and were clearly pushing us in the direction of more expensive systems. The warranties on these units were no better than the Lennox system. The additional warranty provided by AZ Air Conditioning & Heating was a plus. The installers were very knowledgeable and professional. Proper installation is very critical. As a retired Quality Eng. Manager I am well aware that any system is not reliable if improperly installed. Overall I am confident that we made an excellent decision in choosing AZ Air Conditioning & Heating. more

I became acquainted with AZ Air Conditioning & Heating when I was at our Local Costco.I thought that this would be a good opportunity to see what they all had to offer as I knew that I would shortly have to replace the unit in my home. In my opinion, there was no comparison with the knowledge and professionalism, the courtesy and individual attention that was displayed towards me. Needless to say, I was very impressed with them and decided to have them install a new unit in my home. The promptness of the service, the time spent to explain exactly what size and type of unit would best meet my demands. It was not just the typical ""Bigger is Better"" approach you usually receive and made a believer out of me. The installation went more smoothly than I ever thought. I would and have recommended AZ Air Conditioning & Heating to my friends and neighbors and I don't normally make those kinds of recommendations easily. I recently met AZ Air Conditioning & Heating at their exhibit at the Costco. We set up an appointment for a free estimate at my home the following week. We recently purchased a home needing a new HVAC unit, and knowing little about how to purchase a unit or how to choose a reliable contractor, I turned to friends and then to the internet to educate myself before AZ Air Conditioning & Heating arrived. I had one contractor out who said they could ""fix"" my 17 year-old unit for $1,200 ? a unit that was really beyond its' life expectancy. I had also seen my daughter's experience purchasing a unit for her home. No one measured anything--they just told her which unit she needed and how much. I didn't have high expectations. I was prepared for the typical quick look at my exiting unit and a quick estimate. To my surprise, AZ Air Conditioning & Heating set up their computer at the dining room table and spent the next two hours measuring the square footage of my home, checking window types, ceiling heights and insulation, asking about our needs/requirements for heating and cooling, i.e., how many people (or big dogs!) at home during the day, etc., and basically educated us about how to choose a unit, repeating much of which I had learned at the Department of Energy's website. (Did you know that most homes have units that are too large? Yeah, I didn't either!) AZ Air Conditioning & Heating actually had a copy of the Department of Energy's website in his presentation materials. I never had to mention Manual J or Manual D, as AZ Air Conditioning & Heating beat me to it. I honestly felt like we'd had an education. He also didn't try to sell a particular unit, but showed that, based on his computer calculations, he would recommend 3 different units at a range of prices. Installation day was just as remarkable. We met AZ Air Conditioning & Heating installation technicians who were professional and very neat. Such genuinely nice people! They take pride in their work and workmanship and, most of all, in their customers' satisfaction. They arrived on time and did a superb job. The place was cleaned spotless and the guys on the roof did such a neat and precise job that it was evident they took pride in their work. They followed up several times throughout the season to see if we were satisfied. Who does that anymore? It was a rare experience, and I take great pleasure in recommending them. John D. more

When my home's fifteen-year old Bryant 5-ton AC Furnace split system needed replacement, I requested estimates from three HVAC businesses in the area that received excellent reviews on Angie's List. AZ Air Conditioning & Heating was one of them. I used to be a maintenance supervisor at an elderly apartment complex so I do know a few things in the field. As I explained to each estimator, my two main complaints with the existing Bryant unit was that it would cycle on and off frequently resulting in uncomfortable temperature swings both in summer and winter, and that the unit was much too loud inside and outside the home. To reduce the noise level, I asked each estimator about relocating the unit to the roof. Each said that it could be done, but AZ Air Conditioning & Heating was the only one to have the company's Installer come to my house to look into it directly. AZ Air Conditioning & Heating explained that, despite the claims of other estimators, although roof relocation could be done, for several logical and clearly explained reasons, it was really not the best way to go. Alex further explained several additional measures that could be taken to reduce inside noise if a Lennox variable speed unit was installed in the current HVAC interior location. Based on price and some unrealistic promises (and bad decision making), and despite my wife's preference for AZ Air Conditioning & Heating, I decided to have a 5-ton Rheem unit installed by a different company. As soon as the Rheem blower was turned on for testing during the installation procedure, my wife and I both realized that the noise level was noticeably louder than noise from our old Bryant unit. To make this too-long-story somewhat shorter, I refused to continue with the Rheem installation, and demanded the company remove the unit. Taking AZ Air Conditioning & Heating's advice, I then had AZ Air Conditioning & Heating install a Lennox 17 SEER XC 17 SL280V 4-ton two stage unit. To further reduce noise levels, AZ Air Conditioning & Heating cleverly enlarged the return intake, lined the return surface areas with high quality sound board, and re-covered the HVAC room with metal. Four AZ Air Conditioning & Heating technicians worked all day and did a very thorough and professional job. My wife and I are quite happy with the result. The Lennox heating is very even and the blower sound is much reduced. During testing of the AC the indoor unit was very quiet, and my neighbor is really going to be happy with the reduced compressor noise next summer. Except for the occasional ribbing from my wife, the finished result turned out much better that I expected. Good job AZ Air Conditioning & Heating more

AZ Air Conditioning & Heating sold my wife and I a new gas furnace on Tuesday and promptly installed the furnace the next day. That is a remarkable convenience. Earlier today, I had a phone conversation with their Service Manager. I told him that I was favorably impressed by the two service men who installed our new furnace. They were very polite. They really ""worked their tails off"" until the job was as complete as they could make it. The installation task in our home was not easy. There is one indoor access to the basement. That access is two narrow doors that are not conveniently lined up. The space between the two doors is space with less than six feet of head room. Throughout the day, I did not hear one word expressing how difficult the job was. They were perfect gentlemen working as a team to complete their assignment. Roger was the leader and Todd was the helper. Our salesman was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Clearly explained several options and recommended a very reasonable choice for us. He patiently answered a lot of questions that were prompted by misinformation we had received from a local vendor. We felt very confident when we signed the contract. We are presently waiting for AZ Air Conditioning & Heating to adapt our present thermostat rather than install the digital one that is most appropriate for our new furnace. I fully expect the Tech to be equally talented and very pleasant.The bottom line is that we have a lot of respect for your company and the employees who have served us over the past two days. more

AZ Air Conditioning & Heating installed a multi-zone ductless split system in my 1870s house in the conejo valley. Although I was considering high-velocity to avoid visible duct-work, I am grateful to AZ Air Conditioning & Heating for discussing the pros and cons of the various systems and convincing me that ductless was a better option for my house. It ended up being cheaper, less invasive and simpler to install, and avoided having a noisy air-handler in the limited space available in the finished attic. AZ Air Conditioning & Heating also put a lot of thought into the installation. They found clever ways of hiding drainage pipes where other contractors said they would have to build a soffit. Done quickly and on time. Would highly recommend to all my Faimly and friends in the conejo valley. more
