Rented a truck for to go from Melbourne to Tampa. Rental was for 3 days. We dropped off the truck after hours on the same day it was rented. Budget put a charge on my AmEx and ...

Put fraudulent charge on my AmEx 7/27/2009

Rented a truck for to go from Melbourne to Tampa. Rental was for 3 days. We dropped off the truck after hours on the same day it was rented. Budget put a charge on my AmEx and stated we dropped the truck off a day late. Called Budget to get it straightened out & they couldn't get in touch with the Tampa office so they couldn't do anything. Called AmEx and disputed the charge. Budget told AmEx the same lie about the late drop off. Called Budget and they refused to talk to me because I had disputed the charged with AmEx. Had to call AmEx back and get them to reopen the dispute. Now they have to get Budget to pull the surveillance tape. Will rent from U-Haul next time! Pros: Starts out cheap Cons: Not cheap after the fraudulent charges more
