This is a really fun place to take the kids in the summer. It is basically just like a swimming pool only it is a natural hot spring. The water is comfortably warm and not too hot...

This is a really fun place to take the kids in the summer. It is basically just like a swimming pool only it is a natural hot spring. The water is comfortably warm and not too hot. They have toys and such for the kids to play with. They even offer swimming lessons. One really cool thing is that they have an RV campground right next door, so you can even just make a weekend of it by camping in your RV and going swimming at the hot springs. It's close enough to San Luis Obispo that you can run into town and get a bite to eat or get groceries if you aren't really into "roughing it". more

Something to do 9/9/2005

The kids really like this place. As far as I am concerned, it is a warm swimming pool that smells like sulphur, but hey, if you are bored it is something local to do. Personally, I think it is really crowded and not really worth the price that you pay to get in. They also have a little RV park right next door that is part of the place. So, if you were on vacation and were staying at the RV park, I think it would be more fun to go to the springs because it is right next door. I really don't think it's worth it to make a special trip to this place though. more
