Do Not Order from Avas Flowers 10/16/2017

I ordered an Anniversary Arrangement of Anniversary Flowers for my son and daughter in law, paid expedited shipping and also ordered 4 balloons for each of their children and one that said Happy Anniversary. I paid over $100 for this. I received an email stating that the flowers were delivered however when I called my son to see if they had received them, I was humiliated when he told me that they hadn't arrived. I called this company to see what happened and was told that they couldn't figure out what happened. They apologized an said that they would refund me the $9.99 that I paid for expedited shipping and send them out that day (a day later). When they arrived I received another email and so I called my son who said that they arrived and when I asked about the balloons, he said "What Balloons"? They did not include the balloons. I again complained and was told "Sorry, well refund you the money for the balloons". I am so dissatisfied with this company that I will never order from them again. Beware if your trying to do something important. Totally unprofessional !!!!!!!!!! more

I ordered online, thinking I was ordering from a direct florist for an out of state friend. The site promised next-day delivery. Long story short...the company left a voice mail message which I didn't receive until after hours, so I couldn't contact them back the same day. Sent a customer message on their website....played phone tag, and one message let me know they could not do the delivery (today) but would deliver "tomorrow" unless they heard from me. I was satisfied with that, thinking I wouldn't need to call back. Well, flowers didn't arrive the next day either, but of course I didn't find out until after hours again.....By the time I got a hold of the company, delivery was 3 days late ~ and at no time was I given a chance to cancel (I thought each time that the flowers had been delivered). IN talking at one point with them on the phone, they offered us a 10% never showed up on our statement. We have disputed the charge on our card, but since the flowers had been delivered we were re-charged. We continue to battle. more

Flowers Never Delivered and No Notification 7/8/2017

On July 6, 2017, I ordered a standing funeral spray from Avas Flowers, to be delivered for the viewing on July 7, 2017. I indicated in the instructions that the viewing was on July 7, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the funeral on July 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. On July 7, 2017, I checked the status and was advised the flowers were “on the truck”. On July 8, 2017, I checked the delivery status and was advised that the delivery had been rescheduled for July 10, 2017. I explained that I ordered a standing spray for a funeral today. I was told the flowers would be delivered to the family’s home. When I remarked why anyone would send a standing spray to a home, I was asked if I would rather have a fruit basket. When I informed the representative that my cousin lived alone and there was no one at her house to send a fruit basket to, this person replied where would you like us to send it. When I requested a refund this person indicated he would see what they could do. I was subsequently transferred to a supervisor who asked if I wanted flowers delivered to a different location. When I responded no, I was asked if I wanted to “cancel my order”. Cancel my order, didn’t that happened when the company failed to deliver the order as promised. I am not sure which was worst, that this company failed to deliver flowers to the viewing, the funeral, provided no notification until I inquired or their nonchalant attitude towards the entire ordeal. more



BEWARE! 6/20/2017

My experience was awful. I ordered three of the same centerpieces for a dinner party that I was having. They sent my order to two different florists and the result was that I got 2 centerpieces that were not what I ordered and one that was what I ordered. When I called to complain they gave me a discount that amounted to under $5.00! They also said I could have a $20.00 store credit for my next order. I told them to keep it as I would never order from them again. BEWARE! more

What a lying bunch of thieves. This was by far the worst customer service experience of my life. They supposedly delivered my order twice but it must have been to the wrong address because my girlfriend never received them. When I called customer service I was lied to twice by supervisors, had the call center people make rude comments about the message I had on the card and I couldn't understand three out of the four people I spoke to. If this is a "family owned and operated" business then the family is a bunch of lying cheating crooks. When they FINALLY delivered the flowers it was a sub-par arraignment to say the least. They're website is very misleading with only the top reviews shown and even then when they show a 3 star rating the only comment they put on the site is a positive spin. If you want flowers or anything else they may sell go somewhere else. more

ordered flowers and a teddy bear for my girl friend they never got delivered was told they couldn't find the address and no one answered the phone at the delivery place yet they had my number no one called or emailed me and i can't get my money back this site is a rip off don't order from them more

Awful- guaranteed delivery was not made! 5/26/2017

My experience was awful. If your event/occasion has any sort of timeframe don't count on them. A guaranteed delivery date and time was set, payment made in full. Day of I had not received any status update so I called them! 30 minutes and two representatives later I was informed that they were "waiting to find a local florist to fulfil my order". So two hours before the event a florist wasnt even booked! Avas should have called me right away to figure out a solution or give me the opportunity to use another company instead of waiting until I called them after missing the event! Finally spoke to a supervisor who spent another 26 minutes, was not able to help and non apologetic. He stated their company policy is to wait until the client contacts them - they do not reach out when orders cannot be fulfilled. Bad customer service, extremely disappointed. I asked to take the customer service survey that the recording asks you to take and he hung up instead of transferring me to the survey more


3 days later and still no flowers for Mother's Day. 2 calls to "Customer Service" and they lied about getting a hold of the local Florist to find out what was going on. I asked for a refund and insisted they STILL deliver the flowers. They offered to call and apologize to my Mom instead and refused to correct their mistake. WORST online Florist of all time more

I would give Avas -0-, but that option is not available !!! I ordered flowers for Mother's Day to be delivered 05.13.17 ( my mistake not reading that the Same Day delivery doesn't apply to any holiday that you would be sending flowers for !!), I got an email 9:00 pm Central time that it was not delivered. I checked this am ( Mother's Day) and they could not tell me when it would be delivered. I don't think they know what Same Day means. more

Another horrible review 5/12/2017

My mom just received her Mothers day arrangement that I had ordered 5/11/17. The only good thing about this is that it was delivered on the day that I asked. I ordered an arrangement of 6 orchid sprays and 6 anthuriums, a bow, and a full size card. What was delivered was 3 small orchid stems, 3 small carnations, green fillers, a 5" card and no bow. They even misspelled my mom's name on the card. Unbelievable! The orchids were half dead and a branch of the greens were dried and "crispy". It really looked like this was sitting somewhere for a week. That's how bad it looked. I tried calling them but of course no one answers the phone. I was on hold for so long I just hung up. What a rip-off! Needless to say this is going to be charged back on my card. more

not as advertised 5/11/2017

They show thousands of positive reviews. Where did that come from? I placed an order with them and it was a farce. First or all, I'm pretty sure they are not an actual florist. Their web site promised same day delivery on the arrangement I ordered. It said I had 30 minutes left to get same day. They said over the phone that it would be delivered by 1:00pm. When placing the order I was told there was a floral charge added to all orders of something like $13.95. "All the florists charge that now" he said. Since when? I called a "real" florist and he said, "You probably get somebody in another country and they aren't a real florist." From all the noise behind him, I should have known it was just a call center. Anyway, I got an email that they couldn't deliver my order until the next day, but it would be first thing in the morning. Whatever. So I get a text the next day that my order was delivered at 3:23pm. More than a day late. Please do yourself a favor and call a REAL florist who might deliver on time and who probably won't charge a bogus charge that no real florist does. more

Flowers were wrong, missing upgrade, customer service useless. 5/8/2017

Flowers were delivered on time, but not what I ordered or paid for. Even after a phone call assuring me I would get the colors in the arrangement I paid for (and as was pictured on their website), they delivered the totally wrong bouquet. I also paid for the upgrade to a full size printed greeting card, which they did not deliver (they sure kept my money though). Their satisfaction guarantee is a joke. They offered me a $10.00 refund on my purchase of over $100.00. Stay away from Avas Flowers. more

Terrible service 3/30/2017

I ordered a funeral arrangement what they sent was not what I ordered or paid for no could help or wanted to I was transferred to 3 different people was disconnected on twice and have not gotten anywhere TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE would never use this service again more


Flowers were confirmed to be delivered and yet never received by recipient - there answer was to re-deliver 3 days later. HORRIBLE!!!!!! more

DO NOT ORDER 3/9/2017

I got some flowers for my sister, ordered it for same day as they advertise. they called at 2:00 stating there was an inventory issue, I paid an up charge and was promised same day delivery. No delivery, spoke to them again after 5:00 and was told the delivery would not happen(after I paid more to guarantee), Next day the order arrived completely wrong and missing items(all greens very little flowers). I was promised that that fix it and re delivery by end of day. 2 days later still not correct. So I called again 6'th time only to be put on hold AGAIN for 15-30 minutes and tranfered from one person to another and hung up on all 6 times....Finally called my credit card company to reverse charges. This is the WORST experience I have ever had with a company...... more

Not Worth It 2/7/2017

This company misrepresents their products: deluxe bouquets are marketed at small bouquet prices...the photo never changes despite the differences in price. She finally told me the small bouquet had only 2 roses...never pictured...apparently my premium bouquet had 4 roses...never pictured. My sister said the bouquet was certainly not worth the nearly $90 I paid! And to charge for a card and even a ribbon? I should have known better...will never buy from them again! more

the worse company ever 1/26/2017

I got some flowers for my wife's birthday, ordered it 3 days in advance and it never showed, so they offered an upgrade for the next week and PROMISED delivery before 3 and I couldn't believe it that it didn't show again. So I called again only to be put on hold AGAIN for 15-30 minutes and tranfered from one person to another, so instead of having me call back the next day I let them talk me into another chance, so now after the 3rd attempt at this it still never showed up, I don't get it, and my wife works at a large company not like it's hard to find or anything. So I called AGAIN and got the refund thing going, after holding twice for at least 10 minutes and am now waiting for them to call me back. What the hell is so hard about refunding money and delivering more

Avas Flowers do not deliver 1/4/2017

Can you give a company less than a star? First my fiance ordered my flowers a month in advance for my birthday only for them to claim my work was closed and they could not deliver!! I was at work all day. Then he was not notified of the delivery, had to ask me if I got any suprises. When he called to complain he noticed he was charged double for that order. They were nice enough to cancel that charge but when he requested it be resent the next day he was hit with an expediated order charge. What a crock!! The arrangement from the local florest (yes Avas outsources its flowers) was beautiful. But the cost to get it to me was not worth the hassle. If you are looking for a "local" florest - skip Avas as the middle man because they are not worth the hassle. more

I contacted Avas flowers on the internet while trying to find a local florist to send my mother some birthday flowers that needed to be delivered the next day. In my search for my mother's hometown, I was directed to Avas which made it seem like they were local (my only beef with them, my bad for not checking the address), I ordered a nice arrangement, a card, and a balloon and found the price reasonable. I became concerned because after I placed the order I read some of these reviews, so worried in fact, that I almost ordered more from another florist. To my surprise the order arrived in a timely manner and my brother said they were gorgeous. The card and balloon were delivered as well so I was very pleased and relieved. more
