I was unfamiliar with Avant Gard Spa until I received a gift certificate from a friend. I had no idea what to expect but it was fantastic from the moment I walked in the door. I had a massage with Tile and it was probably the best massage I have ever received. I will definitely be back. more

I was disappointed by my overall spa experience. The facial was great and I would highly recommend Karen. I also had a waxing treatment with her a week ago and she did a really great job. I was pleased with the facial but disappointed with the long wait for my appointment. I was kept waiting for 20 minutes which greatly diminished my relaxing spa experience and left me highly annoyed and angry. I made an appointment at 11:00am and arrived 10 minutes early. I announced that I had an 11:00 appointment when I arrived. I asked at 11:20 why my appointment was running so late, and was told that my appointment was at 11:15am and that Karen was only running 5 minutes late. I had my appointment card which clearly said 11:00am and I got a call from the spa confirming my 11:00am appointment. I got a dismissive shrug and I'm sorry but did not get an adequate explanation for the mix-up or sincere apology for the wait. I have had many spa treatments and have never been kept waiting so long. I'm not sure if I'll return based on my experience. This was my first spa treatment at AvantGard so I don't know if this was a one time mix-up or if running late is not considered a big deal for them. more

After retiring from teaching and emptying my classroom I needed something unique to help my body and spirit get back on the healthy side. Your rebalance massage sounded like the perfect ticket and it was. From the time I spent drinking your chlorophyll mint water reading Natural Health Magazine in your beautiful waiting room, to the wonderful magic of CeCe in the marvelously appointed massage room, I was taken to another dimension of rest, relaxation and nirvana. Thank you for what I would say was an epic celebration for my new adventures in retirement. I used the muslin bag of flowers and herbs to take a long hot bath last night are further the work Cece did for me on Wednesday. more

When you walk through the door you start to relax. Once checked in you are taken to the lounge where you start to unwind immediately. The staff is very attentive and professional. It's so nice to have a place that offers such great services without having to travels to the south bay or San Francisco. more

I LOVE Avant Gard Spa! It is truly great. It's a perfect place to get away from my normal busy life for an hour or two. One of my favorites is Karen-- who is such a sweetheart and does an amazing job with her facials. Laticia does a wonderful job giving massages (great prenatal massages too!) and Crystal is an amazing nail tech. My only hold back is the front office staff. They are always professional and helpful but there is one that I have my questions about. In any event, I truly recommend Avant Gard Spa. It is a beautiful, relaxing place to be. more

The environment is inviting -- neither stuffy nor cold & clinical. The therapists, estheticians, and manicurists are friendly and attentive. I have visited Avant Gard at least once a month for over 10 years, and have always been satisfied - in all that time I had one slightly negative experience, which was immediately rectified. And, I have recommended Avant Gard to many people, and they have always been pleased! more
