Worst

Needs new carpet,my kids come away with bug bites all the time! Also air is filled with chalk dust!! They can't breathe when the get out sometimes you can hardly see for the dust!

Austin's premiere indoor climbing facility 8/19/2005

Austin Rock Gym has two locations in town, north and south, that makes you easy to get there. I actually had been there with my friends who are climbing lovers. Austin Rock gym boasts the large and sophisticated climbing gyms, specialized facilities. Walls up to 34 feet tall have challenging, enjoyable routes, designed to provide a true climbing experience--cuts, scrapes and all. The floors of the gym are padded with a thick foam mattress to protect against falls and mishaps. Additional crash bags are available for extra protection. We really enjoy the climbing that time. more

Great for practice and kids who want to learn 8/18/2005

Austin Rock Gym has 2 locations. I have gone there to bring small kids who want to climb the opportunity to do so. The staff there is great, they teach tips, techniques and offer equipment there that you need for climbing. The facility is large and clean, and there is never overcrowding on the climbing surfaces. more

If you don't like to get dirty when you climb 8/17/2005

Head to Austin Rock Gym for a great climbing experience. My good friend is an avid rock climber and when he's not scaling mt. Bonnell (just kidding), he's at austin rock gym. I've come to this location three times, and i have bought a gift certificate for a climbing session for my girlfriend to try. They have great facilities that are indoor. and spacious. They don't just let anyone climb, they are very strict on safety and you must go through an intro course if you've never climbed before. I recommend them as a great place to start, or to continue your rock climbing experience. Their monthly passes are very affordable. Check the entertainment book for another great coupon to this establishment! more

Looking for something new to stay in shape 7/28/2005

Austin Rock Gym is a gym that specializes in, well you guessed it climbing. I recently became interested in rock climbing and decided to give it a try. It is a little expensive so I suggest that you try getting a day pass the first time to make sure that this is something that you are serious about doing. You will have to pass a safety course on your first visit and sign a liability waver. I think that this is a great place to learn to climb and think I will be doing it for a long time. more
