These guys are either thieves or totally incompetent.\r

I took my watch (a gold Movado with a gold mesh band, it had belonged to my late father and so had both sentimental and monetary value) in to have the battery replaced. They told me battery repair person was off that day (a Sunday) and they would have it ready for me in a day or two. That was the last I saw of that watch.\r

Over the course of the next few weeks, I received numerous, often conflicting, stories of what MIGHT have happened to my watch. It was/it might have been transferred from the Bee Cave store to the Burnet Road store. It was/it wasn't located at Burnet Road. The owner and main watch repairman was sick/had sold the business/had gone bankrupt. Call after call and visit after visit gave me lots of stories, but no watch.\r

One day I called to ask, once again, if they had found it. The ""new owner"" washed his hands of the lost watch and referred me to the bankrupt ""old owner."" He told me the Bee Cave store was closing ""in a matter of hours"" but that he thought my problem ""had been taken care of."" When I assured him it had not, he had me hurry out to the Bee Cave store to pick out a new watch. Not in exchange for my father's lost watch, but just so I would have a watch to wear. I now have a nice new watch, but it's not my dad's watch. I'm angry and heartbroken.\r
