I highly recommend Luke and Air Dynamics. Our 20 year old HVAC units were starting to become a bit risky - who wants them to die in the middle of an Austin summer? We got quotes from three different providers, Luke and two "service companies". The service companies tried scare tactics with a woman and totally missed/neglected to mention that we had lost all the insulation around my ducts (what was going to happen when they actually were doing the work? "oh ma'am, it turns out that....and for an extra $$$ we can fix it...."????) Luke came in, did a thorough review, described everything that he found, and gave me honest recommendations. His bid, with everything, was on par with the service company (the ones that didn't mention the ducts). He specs units that were the right size (not to big, not too small) so that we didn't overpay for something that we didn't need. His team, when they came to install, were clean, curteous, efficient and friendly. During the replacement a small fizzure (can't call it a c r a c k because that is an inappropriate word with CitySearch) appeared in our ceiling. Luke came right out the next day and fixed it, with no fuss. We have now had our first electricity bill with our new units and have already seen a $50-75 reduction in our bill. I first called Luke based on the CitySearch recommendations and I was not disappointed. I HIGHLY recommend Luke - he does air conditioning/HVAC and he does it well. more

One of my central A/C units went out recently, and Luke replaced it with a bigger, more efficient unit. During the process of deciding on an upgrade he made recommendations but did not push, and went through pros and cons of each of the options I was thinking of, from size to brand to SEER rating. He was never seemed impatient or too busy to answer the questions I thought of over a few days as researched things on the web. I am very satisfied with the unit I finally ended up with; it cools my upstairs better than the old unit, which I think was undersized (ran a lot, and couldn't keep up on really hot days), and my computer room is now cool with the extra duct he put in. I did considerable research before choosing Austin AirDynamics. I was naturally concerned about trusting my A/C system to a stranger, but the reviews I read about AAD were so overwhelmingly positive that I made the call. I'm very glad I did. Luke was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and skilled. He diagnosed my problems quickly, and he and his assistant had my long-standing A/C problems fixed in no time. The house is now the coolest it's been since we bought it, and the total cost was unbelievably reasonable. I don't remember the last time I was this pleased with a service call. After extensive research into the company, products and other options I choose an AMANA from AIr Dynamics. Their sales man, John Vasquez, was very knowledgeable on the products, did not try and sell me services and goods I did not need, and answered all my questions. the install was a clean neat professional job done within a day of my accepting their bid and for exactly the price quoted. I highly recommend them and will use them again when my older unit also fails. Pros: all pros Cons: none more

My experience with Luke Garcia and Air Dynamics was truly extraordinary. The job was done on time, on budget and the installation, which was extensive, ( included a complete new HVAC and duct replacement), was truly better than expected. The HVAC unit which was installed ended up having twice the warranty as compared to the original quote, and the installation included an additional duct run that dramatically increased the effective heating and cooling in our home. Air Dynamics falls into the category of service providers who are actually are committed to exceeding customer expectations. Thanks for the great work!!! Luk Garcia and his crew were professional and on time. I got 3 quotes which included someone who was going to do it on the side, a coworkers husband who has an AC company and Air Dynamics. The 3 quotes were very similar, but Luk was the only one who showed up on time and provided me a quote when he said he would. Their service was excellent and were very pleased with our new HVAC. I was looking for a "ductless mini-split" AC system. These are pretty new to the USA, but popular overseas. Sort of halfway between a window unit, and central air. I called several local companies, and all but one had any idea of what I was talking about. The one that did said "we have a guy who has put in one or two of those." Luke knew exactly what I wanted, and his techs had installed quite a number of these systems. He gave me a quote for a full heat pump installed. I was surprised as I was less than I thought I'd be paying for a cooling only system. We discovered that more work than was expected would be involved to do the installation. The techs took on the problem without hesitation. In spite of the additional work, they only charged me the original quoted price! Great service, and a courteous staff. more

Price quote was very good and rating is high. They have lived upto their high rating as regards my installation of new heat pump system. Also the job site was completely cleaned after they left, they even vacuumed my carpets around work area. I highly recommend these folks. Saved me $$ over going with bigger companies. more

When my tenant called and said the air conditioner quit working I cringed. I found Luke (Air Dynamics) on the internet. Although I must admit that I was hestitant at first (about finding someone by internet that hadn't been referred by family or friends) I am so glad I did. Luke was willing to listen to the symtoms of the problem and make a diagnosis. Luke also made things good with my tenant by setting an appointment that fit her schedule. Luke called with specific information (before completing the work) about the problem with an estimate that seemed fair and let me breathe easier. I called my father (out of town) who is a retired Master Electrician and relayed the information to him. My father proclaimed that I had found a very good electrician. My father added that I was lucky that not only was I NOT over charged, but that he did not think that I could have gotten a better price. Luke was very polite and I felt comfortable giving him my credit card information over the phone to pay for my bill. After completing the job, Luke faxed me a copy of the invoice and a credit card recipt showing what had been charged to my account. Hats off to someone who truly knows what "EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE" means. Thanks so much. I had my AC go out and the next afternoon called Air Dynamics. Luke Garcia set up a time and was here on the dot the next morning. I had some electrical problems with my condensor and he and his employee Alex had it fixed in no time. Luke was the most courteous and straightforward technician I have talked with in a long time. I really appreciate the service, price and most of all to know that there are still good people who do good work. I will definately refer them to anyone i know who needs some AC work. Thanks! It's Sunday night. I made a call, left a message and had a callback an a couple of hours. The owner was at my house an hour later. He had my AC fixed w/in 30 minutes (wires weren't condunting electricity). He stayed long enough to make sure the house cooled off, and all is good. I can't imagine going another night w/out AC.
