Very honest and fair dealer. I have visited his shop many times and not only base my assessment on my own experience but also have noted how he treats other customers. He pays a fair price for stamps he purchases and stamps he sells are priced reasonably. He deals in fine stamps for collectors so if you are selling a collection of common stamps he has plenty of that material and you will do better selling them on CL a garage sale, etc. He will tell you straight out that he can't use them or they have little value. That is being honest, not rude. . more

The best Stamp Collecting Store in the Seattle area 3/24/2012

As more and more stamp dealers change to a "web only" format, very few street level retail stores remain. In the greater Seattle area, Aurora Stamps is by far the best.\r \r For one thing, this is a true "Stamps ONLY" shop, not a general hobby and collecibles store with a small stamp "department" tucked away in the corner. \r \r Store proprietor Art is friendly and helpful, and keeps a LARGE and well organized stamp stock that ranges from packets and kiloware on paper for novices to high value rarities. The shop itself is light, clean and inviting-- and I'm impressed with the overall quality and variety of the inventory. UNlike many stamp shops, Aurora stamps seems to have a fast "turnover," so there's always something new to look at-- a big plus, for most collectors, and a good reason to go back and visit on a regular basis. \r \r As is the case of most stamp shops, the items for sale are loosely grouped by value: High value items are kept in "counter books" you can look through, one at a t more

THe only worthwhile stamp dealer store in the area 5/5/2010

I have watched the owner of this store for a long time and have never seen him as being rude or, taking advantage of someone. I have heard him tell people he will charge for evaluating their stamps BUT, if they sell the stamps to him or, find some other dealer who will pay more, then there is no charge for his appraisal.\r You can't get fairer than that.\r Everyperson I have seen at his store appears to be thoroughly enjoying the experience even if they are just passing through. more

Don't sell your stamps there unless you are an avid stamp collector. 4/26/2009

The person who determines the worth of your stamps is very rude,he flipped through my stamps with out even really looking at them and told me he'd give me $9.00 for them. I came in hoping maybe he could help me determine the value (even if it was a small amount) but instead he was very rude and condescending, I believe he doesn't like novices to the stamps collecting world\r so if your not an avid stamp collector don't bother!!! more
