Finally Great Pizza! 10/13/2009

They provide a family friendly pizza place that has a little something for everyone. The toppings are fresh and the sauce is original. It is nice to enjoy a delicious pizza with an ice cold beverage without a lot of unneeded bells and whistles. If you want to enjoy great food and friendly staff you will find it at Atomic Pizza. Pros: Fresh toppings, light crust, amazing flavor! Cons: They don't serve breakfast pizza... more

Atomic Pizza: If only they had a restaurant in Phoenix 10/11/2009

Came to PDX in July for vacation and had the distinct pleasure of eating at Atomic Pizza. I take my pizza, especially the crust, very seriously, and Atomic did not disappoint. Crisp on the outside and nice and chewy on the inside, it's my favorite part. The ingredients and toppings are fresh, packed with flavor and they definitely don't skimp. Bill and Jenna are nothing but friendly, and you can tell they put their heart and soul into the food. Pros: Tasty pizza, friendly service, tons of choices Cons: It's only in Portland more

ATOMIC PIZZA!!! YES PLEASE 10/6/2009

Atomic pizza. The prices are cheaper than my spot down the street...sorry normal spot but i need the whole pie tonight. The crust was amazing, a bit more mealy than the wannabes and more crisp than the wannabes and more taste than the wannabes. The toppings are fresh tasting, even the peperoni tasted halfway between normal and uncured. The cheese, I know this taste...it's called good... If your planning on opening a pizza place or saying other local favs are good, try here first for a slice or a pie, then look me in the eye and tell me it didn't put the others to shame; that's right, you can't! The fact there isn't a line out the door is shocking, but they are still ""new."" I also ordered a pizza beyond the regular peperoni. The garlic sauce with chicken was insane! Thank you atomic, thank you for making me not continue to suffer through the established local chains, and letting me enjoy what i treat myself with once a week, and that is a delicious pizza. Pros: Easy location, close to home. Cons: Its close to home! more

Atomic Pizza is the Bomb! 10/5/2009

I have to say this is the BEST pizza. This is not your usual chain pizza. This pizza has fresh ingredients, crust that is perfect, and the sauce is to die for! The Hostess is a very fun and perky lady and she makes you feel like you went over to a friends house for dinner. She likes to talk and joke with the customers and makes sure you have what you need. The pizza maker knows what he is doing with his pizza and you can tell that he is a perfectionist with what his Pizza's. The atmosphere changes on a monthy basis. There is always new and interesting Art on the wall. Kid friendly and yet its the perfect place for a date. There are nice sellections of wines and beers to compliment your pizza's or salads. Great food, warm atmosphere, lively at times as well as quiet. I like to go there at least once a week. Pros: Best Pizza in Town Cons: Not enough Atomic Pizza's in Town more

Atomic Pizza Review 10/1/2009

Atomic Pizza is a quaint little restaurant located in North Portland, and well worth a visit. Having a culinary background, I'd like to think I know a thing or two about flavor profiles. Apparently so do they. Although the name suggests explosive flavors of nuclear proportion, this is not the case. Rather they find an even balance of good sauce, toppings and a medium to thin crust - almost reminding you of your grandmother's homemade bread, only a touch crispier. If you prefer pizza that has been carpet-bombed with herbs and spices, I suggest you ask for extra upon ordering. Otherwise Atomic Pizza's pies are paragons of minimalism. I've only had pizza that scored five out of five stars once in my lifetime, so I must give them an honest four to four and a half star rating. Pros: Balance Cons: Don't see any more
