Dear Mr. Shuman, Your laser industry is crazy. You are in the fastest growing industry. You are the best game in town. You are extremely honest & professional. OK, now for the facts: I came to you a year ago & wasn't too impressed with the person assined to me. She is now with a competitor. I went elsewhere & got burned...........twice!! I know deal with someone new at your clinic and love her. You are not the cheapest but truly the best. I have some gym pals who are with other clinics and are never happy. Nevertheless once you are locked up with someone it's hard to leave. You are in a great business but your competitors are crazy. Can't be trusted. 6/16/2009

I just reviewed their other location because that's where I was originally receiving my treatments. But they have closed that location and sent me to this one which I have refused treatments with this technician there. Tried to get a refund but no luck. I explained I was unhappy getting bounced around and didn't feel comfortable but no luck. I will go some where else. Also how can you trust a place that has 30 + reviews in one day? Wow! What a difference! 6/16/2009

I couldn't be happier with my laser hair removal treatment sessions at Assara. One reviewer below described the extra hair on her lip and chin as "superfluous hair" I couldn't think of a better word. I wouldn't describe my situation as being super-hairy, or completely unmanageable. The extra bit of dark hair, here and there, however, did bother me a lot. I never knew whether people were paying attention to it, or paying attention to my bright smile when I was speaking. Now I have no doubt, and to tell you the truth, I'm very glad I had those few dark hairs permanently removed. Such a little things gave me such a big confidence boost! more

Descent Laser Center, Thumbs Up 6/16/2009

When I walked into Assara, I wasn't sure of what to expect... I had never been to a laser center before. Before going in, I'd read reviews online and checked out their website. The reviews were favorable, and the website looked very clean and professional. After speaking with them on the telephone, I wanted to give it a shot. I'm happy I did. more

Bikini Line Treatment at Assara 6/16/2009

I had laser hair removal on my bikini area 6 days ago. So far, I've been very very satisfied with the results. The laser beaming session was not painful, it was quick, and all of the hair on my bikini line has fallen right out. I'll definitely go back to Assara for any treatments in the future. If things continue to go so well, I will refer my girlfriends. more

I found Assara through Citysearch, and I couldn't be happier with it. I've been to a few laser places here in the city, and Assara definitely has the nicest facilities by far. The staff was absolutely professional and the atmosphere really put me at ease. I only wish I had found Assara earlier because it would have saved me alot of time and hassle. The truth is that you can?t find a better price for unlimited lasering ? If you want to do legs and underarms, why not add bikini, mustache and stomach? That?s what Assara suggested when I called. They were?t just trying to make a buck. The truth is that for $449 as month you can laser every body part you want. I ended up doing ALMOST everything. more

Smooth moves 6/16/2009

I?m a modern dancer so my body is important to me. Ingrown hairs and stubble is not an option for me. I know some guys like hair under their arms but as a dancer it?s really not desirable. The laser people at Assara really understood this. After 3 treatments my under arm hair virtually does not grow anymore. I lasered once at Romeo & Juliette but had to cancel my treatment plan because my skin had a reaction. (they said it was normal, but really, I don?t think so.). At Assara they are thorough and careful, soothing aloe lotion is always applied after a treatment. I do encourage you to shop around if you?re looking for a good laser place you should check into Assara. more

I'm VERY satisfied with Assara Laser. 6/16/2009

I had many treatments done at Assara Laser and I am happy with all of them. I had laser hair removal from many parts of my body, micro-dermabrasion on my face and laser facial (which I heard is good for acne). There is a special for $549 a month for unlimited!! If you want to remove hair from several parts of your body, definitely consider this option. You can laser ALL your hair!! more

Beach Ready Bikini 6/16/2009

I came to Assara 3 weeks ago to have a laser hair removal treatment session to remove the hairs on the inside of my thighs and outside of my bikini area. For some reason, as I get older, I've noticed that these hairs have become thicker and denser. Because I intend to spend my weekends (as soon as the weather warms up!) at the beach, I wanted to take care of my unwanted hair permanently. I've done waxing in the past, but the problem is that with my being away all weekend, I don't have time to maintain a regular twice a month waxing session at my salon. In any event, because there was a special this month to treat my bikini line for $149, over the course of the summer time, this I'm sure is the least expensive, least time consuming way to go. I recommend giving them a call, if you are in a similar position to myself. Pros: rapid treatments: Bikini line session took 20 minutes more

Excellent 6/16/2009

Ever since I was a teenager and would cut myself shaving in the shower I wished I could be permanently hairless. Now thanks to Assara, at 27 I?m finally smooth and my hair doesn?t grow anywhere I don?t want it to! I signed up for the unlimited $449 thingy and I would suggest people do too. It sounds like a lot of money, but you can laser any part of your body, so your legs don?t get jealous when they see how smooth your underarms and arms are! Seriously, I would recommend Assara to anyone who?s serious about never shaving anymore! Pros: Got rid of my razors? more

Sideburns be gone! 6/16/2009

I was always self-conscious about my sideburns but lasering them off seemed too dramatic. My mother booked me a consultation at Assara and I was so surprised at how easy and affordable it was. And Assara has amazing prices, I shopped around so I know. The laser tech (I think her name is Liz) was really sweet and took care of my unwanted facial hair efficiently. Now that it?s summer I?m thinking of lasering my bikini and I would only go to Assara. more

After searching around and reading reviews online about various laser centers in the area, I booked my appointment and came in for my consultation. I found the reception very friendly and intelligent about their services, and this was all before I came in person to the center. Once I arrived, my impressions were that the center was very clean and organized. I have shopped around and done my homework about lasering in the city. You can overpay and get crummy treatment, you can underpay and get burned? Anything can happen to you when someone?s wielding a laser on your body? That?s why I?m so happy that I decidd to go with Assara. It?s located close to my gym, so it?s convenient. The people at Assara are really nice, they?re not into hype and promotions and empty promises. They delivered the goods to me. My upper lip is smooth. Now I?m thinking about doing my Bikini? Or rather, my boyfriend wants me to do my bikini? I wouldn?t go anywhere but to Assara. more

Mikki & I absolutely love your clinic. We have lasered at another major NY spa and liked it except for the price. It's fantastic how you can give such grear service at such reasonable prices. Your few technicians are experienced, professional & caring. Your manager Miriam always goes beyond the call of duty to make out visits comfortable. Tomorrow is our last treatment. Our bodies are smooth. I promise to talk highly of Assara at every opportunity. We have suggested to others to switch. Unfortunately other clinics never allow cancellations.
