Asiago Euro-Cuisine (CLOSED)

We used to enjoy Asiago and suffered a big dissapointment when we visited Paradiso last Saturday. Had to give a star to enter review. We made a reservation for 7.30PM and should have left when we found we were the only people there. The waitress was friendly but the food was terrible. The lettuce in the salad had seen better days. The potataoes and vegtables had clearly been cooked much earlier and reheated more than once. the rest was bland bearing not relationship to the dishes on their web site. Far far from fine dining at high prices we will never be returning. The owner should be glad that you have not updated the reviews from Asiago. more

Asiago has it all: choice food, drink, service and ambience. We were extremely satisfied with our whole dining experience. The food at Asiago was top notch. As an appetizer we had the delightful asparagus ravioli. The presentation of the ravioli was almost as good as the flavor. Then, for the second course, we each had the distinctive gorgonzola salad. The combination of the ingredients in this salad were very enjoyable. The entrees we selected were the tasteful, well-seasoned cherry glazed duck and the savory filet mignon that was served with two sauces. Both of these entrees were tender cuts of meat and cooked to perfection. My husband and I took advantage of the exquisite selections of wine by glass, and after dinner cordials. I had my first date with my wife at Asiago five years ago; and ever since then that is where we celebrate our anniversary. I remember how concerned I was on that first date. I was so nervous before I got to the restaraunt, then to my surprise I found the establishment to be extremely classy and smooth. To follow up the atmosphere, the food was exemplary. I have been a patron of this restaraunt since it opened; and let me tell you the wine list at Asiago keeps getting better and better as time goes on. Everything is absolutely fresh. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender and done the way I ordered it. The fish dishes are imaginative and the vegetables very fresh and not overcooked. The salads are big and the dressings are very good. The presentations I thought are appetizing. I also thought the portions were ample. They also have one of the best wine lists in the city. On my first visit to the restaraunt, I came in by myself; and let me tell you the service was outstanding. I really felt welcome there. Then the food came, and it just blew my socks off.
