Ambience: Great for anyone over the age of 75. You will love the Victorian atmosphere and the slightly moldy odor intrinsic to most historic homes. It's like a trip to great-grandma's house except they have indoor plumbing.
Seating/Service: Excellent. Fast, friendly and courteous. NO complaints.
Food: Exactly like my mother used to make: It looks really great on the plate, but it's bland, bland, B-L-A-N-D. And in large portions. They were trying out a new cheese-based soup the day I went for lunch that was supposed to be a Southwestern something-or-other. Trust me when I tell you it was not. The only real flavor I detected was scorched cheese. Since then, my office has ordered lunch from Ashland's several times. I've tried different items and found nothing I'd pick again other than a green salad. Unless the food improves, Ashland's will continue to be NOT my cup of tea.
Pros: Quaint, Great service, Reasonable prices
Cons: Stale, Bland food, Overrated
