Edit** \r Andy is lying through his teeth. of course he would though cause he realizes now with the web and consumers able to write their experiences, he cant be his arrogant self anymore. Back in 2008 we spent over $15k at his store. \r \r in 2011, I had a washer that needed to be replaced and the manufacture was replacing it but didn't have a way to get it to me so they recommended Arts.. thats when i called them to ask a question and was told they would not do this. \r \r I then asked to speak to the Manager, and thats when Andy got on the phone and had the biggest attitude. instead of having any empathy that my washer died and needed one, he would not help whatsoever. \r \r I then explained that the Manufacture told me they were using Arts to do the exchange and then he said "" what are you crazy"" and hung up in my face..\r \r what kind of respectable owner would do such a thing? maybe after this, he saw i posted my experience, he learned his lesson, but still i would never give a greedy person like him any of my money. \r \r BEWARE! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! THE OWNER ANDY IS ARROGANT! HE DOESN'T WANT TO HELP FIX A PROBLEM. EVEN AFTER I SPENT $15,000 THERE A FEW YEARS AGO. HE SAID, ""WHO CARES, IT WAS LIKE 3 YEARS AGO"" WOW! BASICALLY IT DOESNT MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY I SPENT SINCE IT WAS 3 YEARS AGO. I DONT KNOW HOW THEY ARE IN BUSINESS! I SHOULD OF READ THIS OTHER REVIEWER BEFORE I EVEN CALLED ANDY. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVISE HERE. HE TOTALLY DISRESPECTED ME AND SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS FOR TREATING HIS CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT. I FEEL BAD FOR ALL THE ELDERLY THAT HAD TO DEAL WITH HIM IN THE PAST. Mr. Coppola would like everyone to believe that he purchased appliances from Art's TV, and that further more he did not get great customer service. The fact of the matter is that he purchased appliances that he is having a problem with from another store, and contacted Art's TV to try to help him with his problem when he received lousy service from the store that he purchased the appliances from. Even though we are not obligated to help customers with issues who purchased their appliances from another store, there are occasions when we will go out of our way to try to help a customer out, even when the appliances were not purchased from us. That is why we have been in business in North Haven for over 30 years and are known for our great customer service. Mr. Coppola likes to point out that he is from a very respected family in the area, but when he contacted Art's TV & Appliance he was extremely rude and disrespectful to myself and my staff. Mr Coppola knew enough to call Art's TV & Appliance to get the service he wanted when he did not get it from the store he purchased the appliance from.\r Mr. Coppola is right buyer beware - of stores that don't give great customer service. Buyer Beware! 2/27/2010

I recently purchased a name-brand A/C from Art's w/free installation. My neighbor had had the exact same unit installed with no problems. Additionally, getting the installation was important to me, because I wasn't strong enough to do it myself. Their installation was terrible--they left big gaps in the wall, and the unit was even leveled wrong so water didn't drain out from it (mildew anyone?!). Art's refused to correct the problems. I then went to the store (with photos) and showed the manager, but he wouldn't even listen. I eventually had to pay a 3rd party to properly install and level the A/C. I registered a complaint with the BBB, but Art's still refuses to acknowledge the problems they created. Buyer beware!! Pros: They're local Cons: High price, didn't stand behind what they sold me! more

Best Appliance store in New Haven 11/7/2008

\r I have been buying all my appliances from Art's TV for the past 39 years. and just purchased a new LCD TV.\r They offer competative pricing compared to the big chains, are very knowleable on what ther sell and the service is outstanding. They deliver when promised and are very attentative and aproachable if the are any question long after the sale. The are the BEST appliance store in the New Haven county and can get anything the you see in the large chains.\r I RECOMMEND YOU GO TO ARTS! Cons: Excellant service and knowledge more
