when dr sanfelipe retired right before the birth of my 4th child I was at a loss as to who to take them to, I chose aph because they were close. I am not the type of parent to freak out at every sniffle and usually only take my children for their imunizations and if what seems to be a cold, flu, allergy symptom or ear ache isnt helped with over the counter or natural home remedies. They were assigned to Dr. Cabelona but we have never met her, of the 4 doctors that have seen them I cant complain I can honestly say that I like them, Dr's Pile, Huff, Secaur and A female PA whose name escapes me were all very professional as well as kind and thoughtfull. As for the front desk staff they havent gone out of their way to be rude but I can honestly say they arent sunshine and kittens the minute you walk thru the door but quite frankly I am not their to see them but to take my kids to see a dr when they are ill and so far they have not miss diagnosed my children and have taken care of the problems they have had. If you are unhappy with the doctor your child was assigned to then look at the good reviews and request your child be changed to one of the doctors that have been highly praised and also make sure when you make your appointment to tell them you will only see that dr. in the practice or one of the other doctors you trust within the practice. you can just as easily change your child from a bad doctor in one practice to a good doctor in the same practice as you can to a completely different practice. more

Do NOT go here. This place was thrust upon me because I had my child at Banner Thunderbird. On the outside they appear fine. Their staff has always been really friendly to me and I can ALWAYS get an appointment. However, after 4 years I can honestly say they've done nothing. Really. Nothing. My last appointment was for my 4 year old's check up. If I said the doctor was in there for anything over a minute, it would be generous. She didn't even examine my daughter! The time before that I was there because my daughter was coughing at night. Dr. Cabelona tipped her nose up...looked in briefly and said, ""She has allergies, giver her Claritin at night."" REALLY? You were able to ascertain that in the 3.5 seconds it took you to look up her nose? And you want me to drug up my 4 year old with Claritin based on that genius diagnosis? Unfortunately, the harm inflicted upon my nephews was much worse. When the youngest was 3 he had issues with pooping. So what did they do? They put him on Miralax. They KEPT him on it for a YEAR. They never addressed any real problem...my sister in law kept saying he seems to be over the mental aspect of it but he's still not going. WELL NO DUH. The Miralax killed ALL of the bacteria in his digestive tract and he's unable to poop anymore. She took him to her regular doctor and he put him on probiotics and they are weening him off of the Miralax. Guess what? He's going on his own now. Her doctor was APPALLED that they put such a young child on Miralax for so long. My other nephew had a cough that turned chronic and he started sounding like a seal. My sister-in-law took her to these idiots for a YEAR numerous times telling them it was getting worse. What did they tell her? Nothing but ""give him Claritin."" So...she takes him to her doctor. He is AGHAST. The kid has asthma and he tells her that Claritin will only make it worse. He put him on breathing treatments to treat his asthma. Guess what? He's not coughing anymore. Both of those children SUFFERED for a year over Arrowhead Pediatrics' inability to take the time and actually TREAT children instead of shuffling them in and out to get their office visit money. If I had my way I would make sure that they were SUED. But it takes money to sue...and who has that? DON'T trust your kids to these quacks. more

This place is an absolute JOKE! WHen my son was first born he threw up constantly, he would puke like the exersist! We had to use bathroom towels as burp rags. I brought this up to the DR and was told I was over exaggerating. Also he had diarrhea so bad I could not keep up with him and he got a yeast infection from it. I was so scared and confused. They told me he was fine and put him on a special formula that did not help, and of course they blammed that on me as well. Finally I went to a different DR and come to find out my son is lactose intolerent and also his stomach did completly finish growing so I have to put oatmeal in his bottle to keep him from throwing up so much. They also did not get all the skin when my son was circumsized and it has reattached! :( I would not recommend! more
