I would NOT recommend this company. I am a property manager at a luxury townhome community in Dallas, TX. This company moved one of my residents and his truck backed over one of our pole lights. His driver did not report the incident, but a neighbor watched the whole incident and reported it to my office. The owner (which I do not believe I am allowed to mention by name on this site), promised to pay for the damage. I sent him a copy of the bill... the light itself cost $391, which did not include the install. I sent the owner the bill just for the light pole and he paid $200 to my office and promised to pay the rest. That was over two years ago. I just found the unpaid remainder of this invoice and decided he should not get away with this kind of business etiquette. My thoughts here are that he was unwilling to pay for property damage to my office which was minimal... how much more would he not pay for your items if he breaks or damages them! Go elsewhere.... too many other GOOD choices out there. more

Undependable frustrating experience !! 8/10/2011

I called Greg Mitchell after filling out a form on line giving all the details of the move on line. He said he need to come and check the items in person which I agreed to - he said at that point he still needed some time before he could give me a Quote.Remember this is a simple one bedroom move nothing very heavy and not very much furniture either sold many items before hand on Craig's list so the move was to be a very simple one. From the first time I first made contact with him was a total of seven days. On his web site he states to leave a best time to call which I did but then he would just call when ever he felt like it and and many times would just say ( Hello this is Greg Mitchell) his name then hang up.? Frustrating phone tag is not my idea of good business practice. Oh yes , this is now the eighth day after my first contact and still no Quote. So fortunate to learn of his undependability before hand and maybe avoid a unpleasant no show experience when it's time to move like one of the reviewers my heart went out to - that did have to endure. Greg Mitchell nice man - poor business practices ! more

Best Movers in Garland and Rowlett 11/28/2010

You have to call Greg Mitchell, owner, if you need movers. I used them at the beginning of the month from a move from rowlett to garland and it could not have gone smoother. Greg in his crew are excellent, on-time, efficient and the price they quote is the exact price. My move was very small, but Greg and his crew were professional and wonderful. This is the only mover I will ever use in DFW and I have recommend him to all my family and friends!! more

5 Star Service! 11/19/2010

Greg and his team did an absolutely OUTSTANDING job unloading our truck. As I was new to the state, Greg was in constant communication with me for a few weeks leading up to the move and several times on the day of the move. The team took about 2 1/2 hours to unload a 26 foot truck, but he did not charge us anything greater than the 2 hour price he quoted. Greg and his team were very friendly and professional. I can honestly say that he made the experience less stressful than I had anticipated. I will be using him again in the future and would HIGHLY recommend his team to any customer considering his services. more

Absolute Best Moving Company in Dallas, TX! 7/27/2010

I was not looking forward to moving again so soon, as I had moved only one year ago and had a not so great experience with Two Men and A Truck! But, I had the most pleasant moving experience with Greg and his company, Around Town Movers! Greg and his crew were prompt, courteous and helpful. Excellent Moving Experience! 5/15/2010

I chose Greg and his team based on the reviews I read on the Internet, and he exceeded expectations! Greg was very responsive and helpful before the move, even providing me with some free boxes. He called to confirm the night before, and showed up promptly with his crew on moving day. He and his crew were professional and fast, wrapping everything and taking care not to damage any floors or furniture. We had a very large move, with lots of furniture that had to go up stairs, and everything came through the move damage free. The rate he charged was more than fair, and I felt that we really got a great deal. I would definitely recommend Greg and Around Town Movers! more

Great Job! Professional, Courteous and Reasonable! 5/5/2010

Greg and his team were great to work with. From the initial estimate to the final move, Greg communicated with me via email or phone almost daily to let me know I was still on schedule for my Saturday afternoon move. That was very helpful since he had a move that morning before me and I was busy moving boxes to a storage unit. Greg's team arrived (a crew of 4 in total) and quickly verified what was being moved. They took excellent care of my furnishings, wrapping and protecting everything. Once at the destination, they quickly unloaded and moved all items to the correct location. Not only were they fast, but the rate was very reasonable. I have one or two more moves coming in the next few months when my home sells and will be contacting Greg again for those moves. Great job! more

Fast and Courteous Movers 4/28/2010

Greg helped me out with a client who needed to empty a storage space with little notice. The success of his business is that he is present and participates with his crew. Greg communicate to us and was very detailed and clear with information! We knew we had to move that Friday out of our old house since it was already sold. We told Greg that we were still at the Title Company. Greg and his team made it to our old house and started packing & loading into the truck. They were true professionals! Wrapped and protected every single furniture and did it smoothly as if it belong to them! Moved exactly all the boxes into the places we asked. His team worked efficiently and did not cut corners. I would recommend everybody who doesn't like packing or moving and wants to tell them where each box goes. This is the perfect company that will bend over backwards to please you! Well almost :) Greg and his team were awesome and made it it fun moving till 2:30 AM! Cash & Check was easy enough to pay the guys! Thank you so much Greg & Team! Greg and his crew got to our apartment promptly on time and got right to work. Sammy Rodriguez is definitely a ""professional"" mover. He wrapped and protected my furniture beyond my imagination. These guys are thorough and very knowledgeable about packing and moving. This was our first time hiring movers, and they were definitely worth every penny. Nothing damaged or even remotely scratched. It's saying a lot when I feel confident that they honestly did a better job than me and my friends could have. From second floor apartment, these guys turned corners like Nascar drivers. Absolutely meticulous and highly recommended. I would definitely use All Around Moves again, but at least not for a while since we just got into our first home. Moving isn't always fun, but Greg and his boys made it easy. Pros: affordable, dependable, detailed, friendly, fast, respectful Cons: None! more

This company saved my moving day! 4/15/2010

The moving company I had originally scheduled called me an hour after they were supposed to show to tell me they would be an additional 4 hours late as a ""crew didn't show up."" I called Greg at Around Town Movers and asked if he had availability. Greg and his guys showed up in less than an hour and started loading the truck! He also price matched me for what the other company offered. The move was great, the guys were meticulous with our belongings and very respectfully worked fast! I love this crew and would recommend them to anyone looking to move. Pros: Great people! more

Wonderful to work with! 3/27/2010

I had a move coming from North Dallas to Allen, TX and upon the day of the move Greg and company were at the door at 7:30 AM ready to go! The crew greeted me as they came in with a handshake and smiles making it feel like a family gathering more than hired help. Greg was very kind and courteous as was the staff and were obviously wanting to make sure that I was pleased with the work. For the 2 bdrm / 765 sq ft apartment... it took the guys about 4 hours total to have me loaded in the truck and then unloaded at the new apartment!! They even went as far as being kind enough to place most of the items in the places they belong. Imagine my surprise when I opened the bathroom storage to look at the amount of space and found my towels neatly placed in there!!! LOL, by all means I am beyond happy with the move and with the service. I look forward to using them again when I move to be with my GF and start our life together. OUTSTANDING Movers!! 3/7/2010

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Around Town Movers. They helped me relocate my office, with a detour to pack many items into storage. They took the utmost care with every box and piece of furniture, were masterful in loading the truck for optimal load as well as safety, and got the job done 1-2-3. Greg Mitchell and his team were friendly, focused, energetic, 150% service-oriented, and totally professional. If I ever have the need for local movers again, I will definitely call them. In the meantime, I recommend them without reservation! more

Stress-Free Packing and Loading 2/28/2010

I recently moved across the country from Dallas and after reading previous reviews, chose Greg and his gang to move my things down a flight of stairs, through an elevator, and down a long corridor to load them onto a moving truck I'd rented. Not only did they move and load a 1000 square foot apartment in a little over three hours, but they did it so well that absolutely nothing had shifted once I reached my destination and opened up the back of the UHaul. If only I could have taken them with me to Florida to unpack the truck. . . Pros: Professional, Quick, Courteous, Good Price more

I Highly Recommend Them 2/24/2010

I hired Around Town Movers about a month ago to move into a second story unit. I was dreading it because I hate to move and I hate to deal with movers. But they made the experience as painless as possible. They were quick, took minimal breaks, and were careful with my belongings.
