Best

Sorry, but of all the Italian restaurants here, Armando's is the BEST. I've tried 95% of them, and sorry to say, ""Mama Alvino's"" is not even in the top 10. Nice try, ""Triple ...

Armando's in Aurora moved to a new location in the fall, and I have to say that it just isn't the same. They've gone ""uptown"" with a newer, fancier look. The home family atmosp...

1st time in...moved from Denver and looking for a restaurant in Aurora , not chain. The food was incredible. Had drinks, app, entrees and dessert and everything was wonderful. Will be back regularly. Casual, authentic and friendly. more

Great food! Friendly atmosphere. A must try if you haven't yet. 5/21/2008

We just came home from dinner at Armando's and it was fantastic. We are always skeptical about trying new places, but we were desperate to find a good ""mom & pop"" type restaurant. This is the place. The portions are large and the specials were delicious. Far better than eating at Olive Garden (I'll never go there again) and the prices are reasonable for the portions given. Very kid friendly and very friendly and attentive wait staff. If you're looking for a restaurant with great food and not a chain, try Armando's. We'll certainly be returning over and over. more

Great all around restaurant! 5/20/2008

This restaurant has wonderful food and even better service! We love the family feel of the restaurant (the owner's daughter waits tables and is a kick) and their seafood dishes are to die for. The prices are reasonable and wine list is decent. There can be lines during dinner, but it's worth it. Pros: Great food and service. A family feel to the restaurant. more

Don't go anywhere else! 8/18/2007

Best Italian food I've had in the midwest. Friedly service, good drinks and Great Pizza. This is a small place so go early. Pros: Just better than great food and all at a good price. Cons: A little hard to find but well worth it. more

Great food, great pizza, great service! like I'm back in NY 8/12/2007

We went here on city search reviews and we not disappointed. Some of the best itilian food I ever had and I am from a place that had about 20 excellent authentic italian restaurants. Armando will take your name and you will have to wait, (even on a tues. night), but it's worth it. If you like eggplant I highly recommend it. They have 4 eggplant dishes. The homemade pasta and meatballs is awesome. The special is allways great. Come hungry and get a small pizza for appetizer. Not fancy. Just great food. more

No Contest 8/23/2006

I discovered Armando's late one friday night nearly three years ago. My friends and I had just gotten off of work and were looking for some good food. We decided to stop in, but were upset to find that the place closed in a few minutes. As we were turning around to leave, Armando himself invited us inside and treated us with such hospitality that we felt like family. Ever since, we've been frequenting this Italian hot spot at least once a week. The entire staff is friendly and upbeat, and really try to get to know you. It isn't often that you'll go there and not hear the staff calling out to customers return customers who walk through the door, or giving a kiss on each cheek to some friends or family. Pros: Excellent food, Great pricing, Awesome atmosphere Cons: Long waits during peak hours more

Bellisimo! 9/6/2005

Being an Italian myself, this restaurant comes closest to home. Not only is Armando singing and talking to customers, he is an amazing cook and his entire family works there. This includes his wife and two daughters. His food comes right from the heart of Napoli, Italia. My first visit was a wonderful experience. Armando's oldest daughter, Luciana, served us. What a great personality. I now make my weekly run to Armando's. I highly recommend this place! Pros: Family Owned, Home Cooking, Great Service Cons: long wait 4great food more

Home Away From Home! 4/24/2005

Over the last 18 years our family has gone to Armando's for the home cooked, family feeling that you get when you walk in the door. Everything on the menu is fabulous! I have NEVER had anything bad, all made to order and with Armando's special touches every time. I started coming here in high school and now I bring my children. The family atmosphere is perfect for them, they love the food and love Armando. He sings while he cooks which just brings the whole place together. The staff there is like a family and they treat you like their own. Armando's is consistent, fabulous and comforting. It is not a place for quiet necessarily but, what truly Italian family kitchen would be. We have so many family memories there and I am looking forward to many more! Pros: Food, Armando himself, Inexpensive more

Just like Mama used to make 2/7/2003

This is our favorite local place to eat. The food is great, the staff is friendly, and the place is comfortable. The atmostphere has a very ""family"" feeling, especially if your family likes to eat dinner in front of the football game. There are always families with children and the wait staff memorizes your drinks after just a few visits. They make each dish to order and it's all fantastic. Just don't try to order any substitutions. Armando doesn't seem to like that but he's right in the end. They way he makes his food is perfect and shouldn't be changed. I highly recommend the primavera pizza and any of their baked pastas with garlic knots and either meatballs or sausage. Yum! Also, go early and you won't have to wait for a table. Pros: dishes made to order, friendly atmostphere, friendly to children Cons: tv plays sports, can be crowded more
