Horrible Customer Service! 5/14/2013

Went there to sell a piece of gold jewelry. Owner had a really bad attitude and was very dismissive. Told me he "doesn't do that type of business". What??? You have a sign on your window that clearly says "We buy Gold". Really? Horrible manners. Never go back there again! more

Arlington Jewelers in Nutley Sun Newspaper 9/30/2011

Nutley Insights, page 4. Thursday, January 13, 2011. nutleysun.com "TO THE EDITOR: I want to make people aware of the outstanding service I received from two local businesses during the holiday season. My wife dropped a hint before Christmas about jewelry with chocolate diamonds available from a national jewelry chain. I printed a picture of a piece of jewelry I thought she'd like and brought it to Arlington Jewelers in Nutley. They made me a custom piece of jewelry for 60 percent of the price at the national chain, and my wife loves her one of a kind chocolate diamond heart.... Both businesses have made a customer for life. Frank Tartaglia Belleville more

Never Again! Poor Customer Service! 5/3/2011

I brought my brand new watch to Arlington Jewelers to get the band adjusted. After the first day of wearing it, the buckle kept coming apart. I brought the watch back and he said it would be a couple dollars to repair. I waited a week and called to check the status. He told me that the watch was ready. I came in (on a Friday) and he stated that he didn't have the watch ready and that it would be $15 to be repaired by his watch guy. He told me to come in Monday to pick up the watch. I called that Monday (3 times) and no one answered. That Wednesday I went back to pick the watch up and it had a chrome buckle for a dark brushed aluminum watch. He told me the replacement would be from the factory but it wasn't. He told me there was nothing he can do and that he would give me my money back and that he would put the watch back in the condition that I had originally brought it. He said the watch would be ready the following week. When I went back, I received my watch back with a plastic bag filled with the buckle and all it's pieces. Keep in mind that I brought the watch there in good condition but with a buckle that would just come apart some of the time. In the end, I received back a watch that is not usable, a month of wasted time, and a ruined day. I hate to say it but the guy (I'm assuming he is the owner) is a slime ball, poor business man, and would probably sell his mother a $10 watch for $200. He will try to make it sound like he is doing you a favor but he is just looking out for himself and waiting for the next chump to walk into the store and rob blind. Considering all the religious stuff he has hanging around the store, you might have thought he was a good person. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else. more

BEST PRICES AND SELECTION 4/5/2006

If you are looking for a piece of jewelry, don't go anywhere else, look here first. This store has grown and they have a huge selection at rock bottom prices. The sales help will assist you in picking out the right piece. For example, if you are looking for a cross charm they have about 75 to choose from. They also do repairs. If you want your diamond cleaned, they will let you go in the back to see it being cleaned, so you can make sure they are not switching it out. My mother and I don't go anywhere else to buy jewelry. more
