Great pasta, great wine, warm Italian hospitality 9/22/2010

I am an Italian grandmother and natrually love to cook and entertain. There are many good American/Italian restaurants in town, but if you want the real deal you must go to this gem of a restaurant. Rightfully they have been in business for over two decades and that alone should tell you something. I mean the pasta is just to die for. Their mediterranean seabass is devine and dont get me started on the Buffalo Mozarella. (and no it is not from buffalo NY!!)\r Last week my children took me to this restaurant for my 70th birthday. The servers were amazing. Upon arrival from the hostess to the servers and the manager, they all wished me a happy birthday as if I was part of their family which is something you dont find in other restaurants anymore.\r The manager must have stopped by our table at least 3 times to make sure everything was ok. At the end, they brought us this beautifull plate of dessert samples with a candle and happy birthday in Italian! They all came to the table and wished me another 100 years!! \r I could not have asked for a better birthday dinner. \r Molte Grazie ragazzi.....\r more

Don't waste your money! 9/11/2010

Took my partner out for his birthday and although the service was good, the food was terrible. I let our server know my dissatisfaction and then made the young lady who was hosting at the front aware. The answer was ""I hope you will not judge us based on tonights food quality"". REALLY, that's all you've got? Still upset, I called the restaurant once I arrived home and spoke with the interim General Manager, Patrick. He assured me the charges would be reversed. Three weeks later, the charge is still on my credit card statement. This restaurant used to have wonderful food at their previoius location. WHAT HAPPENED? more

Worst Italian Restaurant 8/19/2010

My wife and I had listed Acodoro & Pomodoro as our favorite Italian restaurant of all until they moved to their new location.\r The old location was like home with the feeling of walking into a quaint Italian home in Italy and being treated as a special guest.\r We recently visited the new location at the Cresent and we will NEVER go back. It is cold with the white walls and hard floors, the food was probably the worst Italian food we have ever eaten in our lives, and the prices have increased at least 30% from the old location with so many items we really enjoyed removed from the menu.\r We are now on the look out for a new Favorite Italian Restaurant in Dallas because we will never walk through the doors of Arcodoro & Pomodoro again. more

Wonderful hospitality and service, great food! 5/7/2010

My husband and I held our wedding reception dinner at Arcodoro Pomodoro at the Crescent and we can't say enough great things. We had worked with several of Dallas' finest restaurants in the process of deciding upon a locale and knew from the minute we received the first response from Katie (events manager) that our frustrations were over. \r \r The service was excellent and we had several special needs, from a short turnaround to an odd timeframe for our reception to special serving needs for our cake - you name it - we had it. Every request was met with an eagerness to make it work. \r \r Yes, the food is excellent but to find a mixture of great atmosphere, great service and ease of use for coordinating large parties and special events - the combination is priceless. \r \r We are still receiving great compliments from our guests for such a well-run, intimate, classy reception dinner.\r \r \r \r Pros: So easy to work with for large parties more
