" I WILL NOT FEED THESE HOT DOGS TO MY DOG " WHAT A JOKE more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 1/10/2012

My dad grew up eating at this place after school and whenever he wanted an awesome hot dog or fries. He shared his experience with me and I love the place. Yes, it is worn down, but that just shows that its been standing all these years. The workers are friendly and super down to earth. They know our faces and our names, so you get that family-feel. The hot dogs are perfect and the chili cheese fries are the best. I can't complain. Best place for a hot dog at a low price. more

If you want a basic hot dog, they do it well. Sure the place is old and run down, etc etc. You can tell by driving by, but it has no effect on the friendly service and the experience. If you want a "gourmet" hot dog, keep driving. But if you want a basic, ball-game style hot dog, Arbetters is awesome! Chili fries with cheese, too! more

This hot dog is horrible it tasted like i would have microwaved it myself and the chili was just as bad, im use to eating chicago dogs or a new york dog not this waste of time and money, if you want to try a good hot dog go to dania and go to Hot diggity dog they are awesome more

I have passed this place on my way home for the last 10 years and have never stopped to eat there. I have heard a lot of good things about this place, but I don't see it.\r \r The place is run down which doesn't bother me because a lot of good places our dives. What bothers me is the "hot dogs". Nothing special about them in fact they taste store bought. \r \r 1st and last time visiting this joint. more

The food quality is said in the name of the restaurant. "arbetters" is actually better. They have the best hotdogs you will ever eat in your life and they are not the kind that you crap out 10 minutes later. Lol. more

You wIll be missed 2/5/2009

Ronald Mark Arbetter, or as you would lovingly refer to him as, \r ?Mr. Arbetter?. In any event, I know that Ronnie meant ?a lot? to you, Victoria. And I a-l-s-o know He loved you, ?very much?. \r That being said, I would say that ?towards the end?, \r y-o-u were his ?reason? for living. After all, he was in great pain and you made him ?smile? through the agony that became his ?everyday life?.\r Faithful? How does someone d-e-f-i-n-e faithful. Well, you make sure everyday Ronnie took his meds. Is that faithful? And you would make sure that he ate everyday. Does that sound silly? Then you?ve never known anyone with ?stomach cancer? or ?liver cancer?. Of course, everyone is different. But that sounds pretty awesome to me.\r I thank the Lord for that. In some small ways? and in some not-so-small ways? I?m better for having known him.\r Thanks. \r \r Your friend, Jeff more

A true Remarkable Man 2/5/2009

Ronnie, you were kind hearted and generous to everyone that you met?\r But to me, you were more than that. You were simply the most remarkable man I?ve ever met. I believe that out of all the people you knew through the years, behind close doors I was the one person you confided in the most. We shared lots of time together especially, the last year of your life. It was a very difficult and traumatic time for you, and I thank God, that I was there for you. I never wanted to leave your side, the last month before you passed only God knows how much misery and anguish I went through.\r I still miss you tremendously and even to this day, I find it hard living without you. You were everything to me Mr. Arbetter. You were an excellent man to me, treated me like a lady, and I always admired how very well spoken you were. The vision I have of you will remain vivid. You always tried to teach me different things, and I always appreciated your wisdom, because you used good-judgment. You are definitely ""One of a kind"".\r From Victoria Dacosta more

In Remembrance Of Ronnie 2/5/2009

Feb 28th will always stand-out in our memories because it is the date of your passing. We would like to first begin by extending a most-sincere ?Thank you? for being such a great friend and truth-be-known, a role-model to both of us. Jeff & I think alike in many ways and we both acknowledge how great of an athlete you were. For me, Victoria, I remember watching you play basketball with some teenage students at Southwest High School? I must say that it was obvious to me that you were the best player on the court. And Jeffrey can attest to that.As a result of your influence and example, Jeffrey was able to walk on and make the basketball team at the University of South Florida Jeff and I reminisce and laugh and even share a few tears at all the fond memories we carry of you, Mr. Arbetter.I would also like to say that I know that Jeffrey was your best friend growing up and it?s so beautiful and comforting to me to know that. You continue to live in both of our hearts, and for that reason: we find it difficult to find closure. That?s indicative of how much you meant to us. For me (Jeff) The fact that Ronnie, Bob and Phyllis allowed me to be a part of Arbetters was a privilege and a truly, precious memory that will always brings tears of joy to my eyes. A-l-l of these memories will be treasured ?. Partly because they are such a good example of how thoughtful he was. We love you dearly, Rest In peace Ronnie?Your best friends: Victoria & Jeffrey Please Visit Ronnie's Legacy Website personal Id 104729090 more

I grew up eating these hot dogs. Now the place looks rundown as is the food. The corn dogs are still pretty good. The chili had something I couldn't chew in it the last time I ate there. more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 8/7/2008

I hear in the 60's this was the hangout spot. Now, after working there myself years back, seems like the owners don't care much for keeping up the place and the Arbetter name. Food's ok. The chilli is still good. The kids that work there are whatever. more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 5/31/2008

I used to eat here all the time when I was in high school. I returned this year and it was AWFUL! Small over-cooked hot dogs, with nasty cheez whiz and the service??? Young kids that obviously don`t care about the business!!! I WOULD NEVER GO BACK! more
