Try to nickel and dime you. 4/6/2010

I found a dress (sold by an individual) that I was really interested in and needed to try on. Both the dress seller and I own pets and didn't want to get pet hair on the dress. I called Apropos Alterations to call and see if I could try on the dress at the shop. I figured this was a possible win-win situation since if I got the dress (I'd win), I'd likely go to the shop for alterations (the shop would win). I am five feet tall and there would need to be plenty of expensive alterations. When I called to see if an appointment could be arranged (in which I would require the use of their mirrors for about 10 min), I was told they wanted to charge me $15 to TRY ON THE DRESS. Ridiculous, ludicrous, disgusting. more

More than just simple alterations 8/21/2005

Sometimes you need more than just a simple alteration done. If you need to have a full dress, casual or formal, tailor made from scratch for just that perfect occasion, this is definitely the shop to go to. They can handle almost any kind of order on a rush basis as well to help pull off any dress emergency. more
