Best

My family and I have eaten here for years and absolutely love it! Good service, inexpensive and great food! Place is usually filled with regulars and has a hole-in-the-wall type...

Worst

Ordered take out on Super Bowl Sunday. The wings had hardly any meat on them. They tasted like they were cooked once and re-cooked again. If your looking for wings I would high...

NOT RECOMMENDED HERES WHY... 11/25/2007

I have been a semi regular at EMR for a couple of years, 4 or 5 times a month. You may ask why go back if you?re not satisfied? I will say to you, the reader that EMR Wings is the only game in town and unfortunately, town is growing so fast EMR must think they are good, doing a good job and people are happy. They are wrong; I can honestly assure you they are dead wrong. Pros: Easy To Sit Down Cons: Alot more

Best wings in triangle 11/17/2007

Some of the best food is made in ""dive"" bars, and that's certainly true here. After discovering EM-R a few months ago, they are now a staple around our house on weekends. I'd probably eat there 5 days a week if my diet and stomach could support it. Pros: Best wings in town, cozy atmosphere, local feel Cons: Service. Not slow, just impersonal. more

Em R Yucky! 5/6/2007

Em R Wings' "" Buffalo style"" wings are atrocious! They are the worst that my husband and I have tried in the Apex/Raleigh area. We are from Buffalo, so we know what we're talking about. They just taste like jalepeno peppers; that's it. For them to call the wings ""Buffalo style"" on their menu is a disgrace! Buffalo Brothers aren't bad. J & S isn't bad. We have come to the conclusion that we'll order wings completely plain and make our own sauce. It's mostly Frank's Red Hot, a tab of butter, a pinch of garlic powder and a pinch of onion powder. Restaurants, listen up! This is the magic potion. Not jalapenos, not chili flakes. Pros: Onion Rings and Bleu Cheese were good Cons: Horrible wings! more

Best wings in the South 1/17/2007

If you are looking for the best wings in town, look no farther. This little hole in the wall will make you want more. The wings are tasty!!! the beer is cheap!! The staff is friendly and the pictures on the wall make for nice conversation pieces. I go there almost weekly and can not wait to go again. A++ Pros: Great food, come out quick, cheap beer Cons: can not get there enough more

The Best Wings Anywhere 8/23/2006

these wings are like heaven they are the best in Cary i would go there anytime and i live 50 minitues away Pros: Great food Cons: Location Far From Home more

Decent Wings 7/25/2006

I can understand why someone might be unimpressed with this place. It is a dive, but the wait staff was very friendly and prompt. The wings were not the best I ever had, but they weren't the worst either. I very much enjoyed the hot as well as the terriyaki. I would say that if I found myself in Apex and had a hankering for wings I would go there again. Pros: parking, service, very casual Cons: men's room not partitioned more

Awesome Wings 6/7/2003

the last reviewer should go back to new york and take all his yankee buddies and family with him! true, em r wings isn't like upstate ny wings, put simply, they're BETTER, WAY BETTER! the wings are really hot, but packed with flavor. I love wings and have to say the shearon harris wings are quite possibly the best I've ever had. it has the atmosphere of a true wing joint and you won't be disappointed. more

Em-R-Not-Wings. 1/2/2003

I am from upstate NY and these wings are horrible. Batter dipped. then over deep fried to a crisp. Good thing they were small because they were bad. They put a soggy cheese toast in the foam box with a bunch of jalepenos. This was definately a case of Billy-Bob tries to make wings. D'oh Pros: good parking Cons: bad food, expensive more

Radioactive wings 12/29/2002

Em R Wings in Apex is a great good ole boy bar serving some of the best wings in the area. The menu is sparse but people eat here for the wings, cold beer and comaraderie of a small town watering hole. The wings are rated from Plain to Sharon Harris. The Mild and Medium will surely get your attention. One of my favorite places. Pros: plenty of parking, inexpensive, loud and raucous Cons: sparse menu, small dining area, loud and raucous more
