Anzen is not a very big grocery store, especially when compared to the enormous conference center across the street. But Anzen has much of what you need from an Asian grocery, carefully organized in a very small space. And their fish selection is among the best in town, supplying local restaurants with much of their sushi-grade fish.
Anzen has a good selection of Asian foods, goods, toiletries, and supplies. But its fish counter is truly outstanding. This is some of the freshest fish you'll find in the city, and I've found myself in line behind restaurant chefs who came down personally to select their fish for that day. The staff is knowledgeable and can point you in the right direction for whatever you might need. It's great to have such a good Asian grocery right downtown. Definitely worth a visit.
