Awful, awful, awful 8/26/2010

In order to spare any prospective customers the sordid details of our ongoing “infestation issues,” I will summarize: We purchased a fixer-upper just over one year ago, complete with German cockroaches. We enlisted the services of Antimite; services to include a twice-monthly outside spray treatment, as well as an inside “as needed” treatment. While our issues did improve slightly, still, over one year into our contract with Antimite (and over 10 visits just to treat the inside) we still have roaches. In addition to this, although we have requested them to send a different technician the last few times, they continue to send the SAME person each time (very nice man, I might add. But lacks the ability to bend over, kneel, reach, etc). I'm starting to think they only have one tech. Each visit is the same discussion and the same treatments. And each time I see the technician, I jokingly tell him I hope to never see him again. Last time we called for service, they offered to send a manager out, which we gladly accepted. However, that next visit they sent the SAME tech and no manager in sight. My next call I demanded a manager come out. After much complaining, they accommodated. -This was amusing because we then had both the manager, and the technician performing routine, non-effective bait trap and treatment together. To add, we’ve been asked to continue to “save” the ones we kill in plastic baggies so they can tell us we still have German cockroaches. The best part though, was the last call we made to Antimite. It went something like this, Us: “You guys just 'treated' last week, and now we're seeing more." AM: “Sounds like you need a roach clean-up; we would use a fog-type system to perform a more intense treatment…” Us: “Why wasn’t this mentioned to us 6+ months ago?” AM: No response Us: “If we’ve purchased a control contract, why wouldn’t a “solution” like this be covered (it’s an additional $135!!)? Why didn't anyone ever tell us of this option?” AM: “Would you like to call us back and speak to a manager?” -The very least they could have done was offer to comp us for the treatment NO ONE ever mentioned to us until last week. Goodbye and good riddance Antimite…thanks for stealing our money, the barely effective "treatments" and extremely poor customer service. more
