I like it! 3/11/2011

I've ordered delivery from there numerous times and everything I had was great. Granted, I haven't had the pizza yet. However, I have had the cheese bread, Loco bread, & garlic bread. All were good. The 2 salads I've had were good. The Itialian salad and Chicken Caesar. My husband and I love their Sandwiches and subs! I loved the Pastas that I have tried. Spaghetti with Meatballs, & Lasagna with meat sauce and italian sausage. I didn't care for their Italian Sausage. Maybe, thats just me. Plus, I received a soggy Gyro once but, Thats it. The downside is that the delivery does take quite a while(hence, the soggy gyro) so plan ahead. For just pasta and sandwiches, etc, they are great though. Plus, they give you huge portions for a very low price. It takes me 2 passes to finish an individual pasta...sometimes 3! And you can't beat a 7 inch sub for 3.95 or 2 for 5.95! more

should cancel delivery services 6/30/2010

I don't understand why they offer delivery services when it takes too long and they say they lack delivery people. The pizza's not even that good. more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE 12/21/2008

The first time I heard of Anthony's, it was because one of their reps left a menu on my door. I called them and I was informed that they didn't deliver to my area. I told them that someone had left menus on everyone's door and the person on the phone reiterated that I was outside of their delivery area. Several weeks passed and I got another menu on my door. I called and placed an order with no problem. The delivery took about an hour and a half. The food was horrible because it had obviously been prepared hours before, but I assumed it was because of the item I ordered. \r \r Months later, this Sunday, my fiance and I called to place an order. It was Sunday and no one else delivered. The person taking our order was distracted and I had to repeat my information a dozen time. \r \r Delivery Guy: What's your address?\r Me: 1114 Someplace Drive\r Delivery Guy: 1234 Somewhere Square?\r Me: No. 1114 Someplace Drive.\r Delivery Guy: What's the apartment number?\r Me: 1114\r Delivery Guy: Yeah. But what's the APARTMENT number???\r \r This went on for about 10 minutes. He asked for our phone number 3 times and the 4th time, he repeated the right number. The delivery person informed me the delivery time was 2 hours. We continued with the order.\r \r An hour later, we called to provide them with the gate code. The girl who answered the phone told me to call the delivery guy myself and when I objected, she agreed to call him. I confirmed my telephone number and supplied the gate code.\r \r 2 hours and 45 minutes aftere ordering, we called to check the status of our order. The same girl said that the delivery man could not find our house and that he called but the call went unanswered. I asked her to verify the number I gave her. She had the number off by one number. We asked if they could resend the food. We were placed on hold and eventually hung up on. When we called back, there was no answer.\r \r After several bad customer service experiences, we will never return. Pros: They deliver late Cons: There's an 80% chance your food will never come. And when it does come, it will be cold. more

great pizza and minimal prices 5/13/2008

the location and building are surprisingly deceptive. looks shabby and rural because of its Scottsdale location and surroundings. However, in terms of inexpensive pizza and wings, anthony's is a winner. the pizza is flavorful and so are the wings. The service is an appropriate compliment to the cheap prices so don't expect much in terms of wait staff always at your beck and call. the staff is however very friendly and the service is fast. Pros: cost and flavor Cons: location and building amenities more

Terrible Service, Ok food, Delicious Brownie 6/9/2007

Since moving to Decatur several months ago, I've passed by this place many times. Today, I finally stopped there for lunch. The baked ziti tasted okay and was plentiful. The garlic bread that accompanied it was good, but the real star was the fresh-baked brownie that I brought home to eat later. However, the service was not good at all. The girl at the counter was pleasant enough once she finally decided that she would take my order, but that was only after I'd been standing there at least 8 minutes. I was on the verge of leaving! It wasn't a busy time -- there were only 4 or 5 customers inside, so I don't know why it took so long to acknowledge that a customer was waiting. I probably will go back once more to taste the pizza, but if the service is bad again, that will be their last chance for me. Pros: plentiful food for the money, best brownie ever Cons: service & atmosphere more

Best Pizza I've ever had 5/13/2007

OK, the first thing I noticed per my delivered pizza was that the toppings were fresh and crispy as promised. Secondly I noticed that the pizza was NOT saturated with salt - all tasted clean. And a final and delayed realization was that no grease/oil/fat was part of the equation. I opened the box the next morning to finish the pizza, and still there was no fat on the box. An unprecedented miracle! I hope this was not a one-time experience. I actually called the restaurant to tell them how I felt. Somehow the rating turned out to be 3. True rating from me is 5+, 6+, 7+, etc. This is the BEST! Pros: The freshest, cleanest pizza ever (this was a delivery) Cons: Can' even think of one more

Aren't whole in the walls the best places!! 4/2/2007

This is the first review I've written so excuse my simpleness. I've been to Anthony's a couple of times now and both times the food was great alot better that the delivery franchises ""I think you know who I'm referring too!""-although Anthony's now delivers I hear. Its out of the way, the atmosphere is sports bar/soup kitchen/restaurant. Now I'm not an expert but the pizza crust is not too thin not too thick. The sauce tastes homemade, its not overpowering the toppings. The pepperoni could be thicker; I've order a supreme pizza and thought it was all vergetarian. The sausage, green peppers, and onions spaghetti is a good balance of thick spaghetti noodles and chunks of italian sauage with minimum. A friend told me that they once had all you can eat buffet for $5. If they had kepted that they would have been eaten out of business! Pros: Food Cons: Parking more

And I thought there was NO bad pizza!!! 5/9/2006

I just moved here from NY and stumbled upon this place. I have never in my life said the words ""Bad pizza."" When I took a bite out of this cheese like substance, I immediately through the rest away. I'd rather eat a no frills frozen pizza before I go there again! Pros: It didn't make me sic Cons: More will suffer more
