Another Thyme

This is one of my old faithfuls...I've never had a service problem, although I've read lots of reviews that indicate service is poor. The calamari is heavenly with delectable cilantro aoili dipping sauce. You have to try the AT Fried Chicken...at only $13, it is a value as well as delicous! The seared tuna over mixed greens is also fabulous, although not for someone who is ravenous...The ambience is perfect for a date or a night out with friends. I love the twinkle lights wrapped around the ceiling rafters...this place is charming and you should try it at least once! more

Our family travels from Tennessee to visit relatives often. We have eaten at your restaurant several times in the past. However, our visit last Saturday night was especially nice and relaxing for wonderful food and conversation. The atmosphere in Anotherythyme is so great. Our waiter was superb in helping us make selections that we would like and simply helped us to really enjoy our meal. Thank you for giving us great memories! I always feel I am inconveniencing the staff by having tha audacity of coming in. I am a patient customer with restaurant experience myself, so I am fairly forgiving of wait staff. Begrudgingly seated on weeknights when plenty of tables available, slow uncaring service, many items not available from menu. Because I enjoy good food and great wine, I like to try out different and new restaurants but I keep finding myself going back to anotherthyme. I enjoy bringing my business partners and collegues because I know that everything will be consistently excellent. I most recently had the tuna tartare, which rivals and is infact, far better than the tartares of New York. If going, try the specials that are an addition to their regular menu. THey are fresh, seasonal, and only on the menu for a little while. more

I was totally disappointed with the service, like usual, tonight. I adore the cuisine that Anotherthyme has to offer and for that I sacrifice good service everytime I dine. I find that I do not even want to invite friends to dine with me unless they too understand the complex realtionship of delectible food and poor service. Tonight was horrible. We had a reservation and still waited at the bar for atleast a half hour. The bartender seemed told myself and my guests that we had to wait for our drinks which ended up being 10 minutes for two beers and a cape cod. When finally seated again we waited for service. Our frazzeled waitress arrived and seemed to be in limbo the whole time. I left disappointed and will not be back to dine in. I guess it has come to the point of take-out from now on. Until this past Friday, Anotherthyme was by far my most favorite place to go, but now I am broken hearted. I was with several people and had a wonderful meal, only to be RUINED by the waiter who approached my table and demanded an explanation about his tip. He noted that he had been left less than standard, which was not the case, however it ruined my entire experience. After speaking to the young manager on duty, she informed me that maybe I should ""take a break"" from the restaurant. Needless to say, I will never go back, and do not recommend anyone else to suffer the same as I have. No resolution has come to my situation, even after speaking with the owner, who did not fire the employee immediately, but kept him on through the weekend. I feel as if I have lost my best friend.
