Animal Emergency Hospital is HORRIBLE 9/23/2009

My dog was seen by regular vet who thought was Parvo but didn't do testing. Vet ER saw dog next day didn't do testing..Monday vet did test it was positive for Parvo, so I am mad at my vvet and vet er. She showed all signs for Parvo but neither bothered to explain it to me or ask me if I would pay for a Parvo test! She had puppies 4 weeks ago and YES she has her shots and always has, but still contracted it. So we are now at a bill of 1500 and they keep finding things they "gave her" injections and such to increase my bill knowing I have a line of credit to 4100. I have contacted CareCredit and made them aware of the situation and asked them to please make the ER provide proof of all procedures done, because I was looking at her chart and seen then had given her ONE injection, but yet they told me they had given her 3, and also charged me for a total of ten because they knew they were going to use ten. They charged me for a total of six different types of injections and I know they didn more

Yes, it was expensive (x-rays, blood tests for us, plus the $65 office visit for almost $350 total), but the tests weren't that much more than my local vet. The staff were VERY kind and helpful and I didn't get any grief over wanting to take him home or go back to my regular vet. In a real emergency, I wouldn't hesitate to go back.\r \r What bothers me more is the 20-30 minute drive to a vet I've never seen before - in England vets have answering services, the on-call vet calls you back and together you decide if an emergency visit is necessary. They then meet you at the regular office and you at least see a vet in the practice you and your pet normally go to, if not your regular vet. more

OUCH 9/8/2005

I took my Collie here on a Sunday afternoon since he seemed very ill. It came on so fast and I did not want to wait till the next day. I took him in, and they gave him the once over saying there was not much they could do unless they did testing and blood work, as well as put in an IV. They charged me 150 dollars for the IV, and I declined the testing till the next morning. They treated me as though I was a 2nd class citizen because I refused to have the testing to the tune of 800 dollars done. more

EXPENSIVE 7/13/2005

I used this hospital once and only once. When your pet is hurt or injured you will do anything you can to make them feel better, even if it is at 3 am. I feel this hospital takes full advantage of this opportunity. I took my cat in a few weeks after she had kittens because she was not eating, and became lethargic. I was afraid to wait till the next morning to have her seen by the my reg vet. This office charged me upwards of 600 to fix a dehydration problem. I will not use them again. more
