NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE! 8/17/2010

Untrained personnel were rude & dismissive. I was not told that my underlying medical condition requires a COMPREHENSIVE exam by an OPTOMOLIGIST (which would have been paid in full by my insurance) until AFTER THEY TOOK MY MONEY. Americas Best made the first pair of glasses with wrong prescription and I have to wait another seven to ten days and visit the store again. Second pair of glasses are very cute but to not fit, expecially after the "technician" bent the daylights out of them and crushed one of the nose pieces. They will have to remake the second pair of glasses also and I will have to wait another seven to ten days for them too but the store will not save me time & money by reordering them until I bring in the ones they broke first. I made four 50 mile round trip visits to the store & still do not have a functioning pair of glasses. I will need to make at least two more round trip visits to the store to get my two pairs of glasses. But America's Best sure has my money & doesn't care how much of my time and money they waste. I also had to make a big stink to get the promised "discounts" which they conveniently forgot to apply. This was a poor bargain and I wish I had just stayed with my dollar store glasses and gone to a local optomologist. Seek out other options than America's Best. Try Fred Meyers, Costco, discarded coke bottles at the side of the road. In my opinion its America's Worst except for the fact that the optomotrist was very nice. If you think you are a worthless piece of dirt who who should be treated like garbage, this is the store for you. more

Customer oriented, not $$$ oriented 11/24/2009

They offered me a membership worth taking, for a small budget and hard times this is the place, did a good job and treat me excellent no matter what, provided me with trial goods and referral for further treatment. RECOMMEND IT. more

America's Best is the Best! 3/18/2006

So, I was almost out of contacts and knew it was time for an eye exam. I don't have eye insurance, so I had to limit my out of pocket expenses. I had seen the America's Best commercials on TV, so I decided to give them a try. I wasn't expecting great service, I really just wanted the exam and to walk out with my prescription. What a surprise! The quality and professionalism of the staff floored me. My biggest complaint was that the wait was long even though I had made an appointment, but other than that, I received better quality of care then from some other "high priced" eye doctors. The exam was fantastic and even though they were busy, the doctor spent a lot of time answering my questions and explaining different options to me. I did get my prescription from her, but I also was able to get a trial pair of contacts from them. In the end, I ordered my contacts from them, because their prices were so great. more
