American Pie Pizza Co

I tried it twice. Shame on me. The first time I took home pizza's and threw them out. I can't imagine anyone liking the pizza . Crust was as hard as stale croutons and we didn't like the sauce. Gave them a second chance by dining in, because they are next door to the movie theater. Not worth the convenience. We ordered two entrees, chicken parm and lasagna. These are very traditional mainstays for an italian restaurant. The only thing we liked was the salad. Chicken was actually burned and the tomato sauce may be a NY family recipe handed down for geneations, but this family couldn't have been itaian. The food was aweful and we again threw it out.. Not only is the food awesome, but the service is awesome too. The food is made fresh. They don't premake the food and warm it up. I'll wait an extra 5 minutes for fresh food. And while you're waiting, you will have a great time playing video games. It's a great place for any age group and I will continue to drive from Tampa to visit the restaurant again and again. I have been there twice so far. The first time my order took a very long time, but because it was fairly busy I figured I'd try it again. The second time i went i ordered two hot sandwiches. After noticing that all the tables around me had been served and it was 20 minutes after I placed my order, I asked where my food was. i was told in a rude tone to sit down and wait. 15 minutes later I asked again if my order would be done soon. There was no one waiting in line and i noticed the employees were just talking. I was again rudely told to sit down. 5 minutes later someone brought my food over cold. I was told it had been marked as a pick up and had been sitting next to the register. We were told "oops sorry". This is not acceptable service. I will not return. If you are expecting a hot meal in a timely manner this is not the restaurant to go to. Try campanellas or mikes pizza, they are friendly and the pizza is better there. I recently went to American Pie Pizza Company with a large group of people - everyone from young children to teenagers to grown adults were there. Surprisingly enough, even with so many different age groups, we all left satisfied! The adults loved the food from the pizza to the flatbreads and the kids enjoyed the hip setting and video games in the booths. We had great service and I would come again in a heartbeat. Pros: Food, service, we had FUN! more
