John and the other trainers taught me how to train my dog. They didn't just train my dog. This is an extremely important difference and the reason why I go to ACI. more

They helped me with the leash and the collar, the proper adjustment of everything and how to act around the puppy. They cared more than your typical trainers on keeping your dog safe which is extremely important to me. They reviewed the typical tic cycles, flees and what kind of medication the dogs can use. Absolutely amazing services and satisfied doesn't even describe it! more

ACI has the best trainers in Fremont! I recommend them to my friends all the time. I used to bring my dogs to one of the trainers at a different venue and I followed him to American Canine Institute becuse he was so good. more

I would definitely recommend American Canine Institute depending on the issues they have with their dog. Anyone that wants to learn how to control a dog appropriately, issues handling, or issues with dogs period, see Gene. He works on both the dogs and the handler. more

  • American Canine Institute is a canine training facility providing training classes for all breeds of dogs. Since 1983, we have been providing clients with a place to bring their dogs for proper training and canine education.

    It is our goal to educate owners on how to properly communicate with their dog. Each of our training classes have been designed to meet your specific needs. They are structured to achieve continued progress from your pet. Our trainers take the time to educate you on how to understand your dog's body language and on the idea of pack hierarchy, which in turn will allow you to better communicate your desires to your pet.
