I did not enjoy the pizza or my main dish.The food was over cooked.No home cooking here.Tiny portions.The pizza had almost no tomatoe sauce.Service was horrible.Waitress never came back.Cook brought out the dishes and was rude. more

This was the worst Italian food!! Real small portions.Tasted like it was frozen food heated up.The pizza was so thin and hard as a rock.The waitress never came back.Very rude.The cook was rude and rushed us out.I will never go back. more

Great Italian Food, Awful Service 12/8/2009

I have eaten at Amalfi's several times and for some reason I have always had the luck of being served by the same woman who has the most awful personality I think I have ever encountered in any restaurant in my life. She is downright rude and gives you a lot of attitude. On several occasions she has made me feel rushed and that she would prefer to be doing a million other things than provide service to me. The owners however are very lovely people and the food is fantastic, but this one particular server (i think she might be the daughter of the owners) ruins the whole experience for me. I really love the food so I think in the future I will order my food to go so that I do not have my entire evening ruined by a miserable, disrespectful server. Amalfi's Pasta 'N Pizza is amazing 6/28/2009

I LOVE Amalfi! I've been eating here since I moved to Charlotte. This is real, authentic Italian food. The pasta is imported from Italy. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. You gotta try it. more

I've been eating here since they opend 15 year ago. Great authentic family owed Italian restaurant. Don't just go for the pizza. Try the pasta and the weekend specials. Delicious! My family compares all other Italian restaurants against Amalfi's and we have not found one that even comes close. more

Small, cozy and delicious. Those are a few words that come to mind when I think of Amalfi Pasta 'n Pizza. The owners are definitely Italian and they know how to cook. They have an awesome meatball sandwich and great pizza. If you haven't tried it, why not? more

Nice Family Owned place 11/12/2008

The pizza here is delicious and since it's a small family owned place that is the exact feel you get from the staff and owners when you go in. It may be a little longer of a food wait, but that is because the food is fresh and hot when it's served. Delicious! more

WONDERFUL FOOD AND SERVICE 9/18/2008

happened upon this place accidentally while looking for Harris Teeter. Went in to order some food to go. The owner was very funny, and welcoming. I was laughing the entire time I was ordering. When I got home, and eat dinner, it was delicious!! Food was well prepared and packed, and absolutely wonderful. I just called and made another order to go right now. I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone looking for good food, and good service. GREAT PLACE!! Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing more

Best Italian in Charlotte 5/16/2008

My family has been going there for years. It is wonderful. Love the ziti bolognese. Lunch is great price for so much food. Just wish they were not so stingy with the bread. Would recommend to everyone. Pros: great food, great price more

went there on a recommendation.basic inexpensive restraunt..lunch had several 4.99 specials.salad standard nothing iceburg leetyce tiny slice of tomato.the bread very good.had pasta with bolanese sause.god prtion but very bland tasting.service by the family very good.had 1 slice of corner siclian pizza.the crust was awsome perfect.the rest of it standard stuff.by far nooo where near great pizza.the entire crust was made perfect.good for a cheap lunch.average food Pros: inexpensive good portions.. A taste of Italy 9/7/2005

This family owned Italian restaraunt makes you feel like you are at Grandma's house. The staff is kind and courteous and the food is delicious. I have tried pizza, pasta and sandwiches. My favorite sandwich is the meatball sandwich. The bread is incredible. The pizza is terrific. I have tried both thin crust and sicilian. I prefer the sicilian, but I love bread. They have great deserts. If you miss good, Italian, homecooking, try Amalfi Pasta N Pizza. I don't think you will be disappointed. more

Best Pizza and Calzones 12/28/2003

If you want a true New York Pizzeria you'll love Amalfi's. If you love real pizza and calzones you have to give it a try. Absolutely the best pizza in Charlotte maybe even in NC and SC. It is a great place to take the kids for a meal you can all enjoy. I recommend going early or calling a head if you have a large group because it is always busy. While Alamfi's undoubtedly has one of the finest Sicilian (square, thick) pizzas in Charlotte, getting it the way you want it will cost you as all toppings are a'la carte (same with Portofino's & Nichi's). Getting reasonable service here is a crap shoot. On two occasions dining alone I walked out because I was never served. On one occasion with my wife, we walked out for the same reason. Ditto on no bottomless drinks; another example of how you can get nickel and dimed here. Pros: Great Food Cons: Pricey, Lousy Service, Nickel & Dime more

Amalfi's has the best pizza in Charlotte if not even the Carolina's. They also have a variety of other delicious italian favorites. With a family environment that is hard to find these days. Stop by and try it out for yourself. more
